(The etymology of softflakes is in the play on words of combining '
soft', as in
soft sciences, with 'flakes', as in snowflakes, which is the way most humanities students act.)
(n.) An
individual, which spends a lot of time on the
bubbles of social blogs and political extremes, being indoctrinated by fanatical professors on ivory towers that akin to the students, think rote-learning, a task of low psychometric g correlation, of fanatical ideas gives them the same intellectual position as
grinding away at STEM, which especially in the more theoretical portions, has an uncompromising intolerance for mistakes, and necessitates a lot of rigor and reasoning, which means not only a person attempting to get a degree there must have actual innate
talent, they must be constantly vigilant.
Softflakes are often found with a presumptuous attitude and moral superiority, calling anyone that begs to differ from their empirically baseless claims an "insensitive pig". They also indulge in besmirching the reputation of
whatever value the humanities has just to push their political agenda. That's a quite solemn sight, since genuine cognitive capital will in consequence be more and more repulsed by the humanities, causing it to be dilapidated further. Therefore, humanities will turn to
pure fiction, whose funding is only intact in consequence of powerful men wanting to get laid and please their wives, the same way they buy them
fancy bathrooms and expensive gemstones for their magical powers.
Person A: I tried to have a discussion on how we could measure societal problems, so that we could
better use our limited resources. But the softflake kept pestering me about how it's all because of
evil power hierarchies, as if some Jewish pejorative
stereotype applied to every successful man or woman.
Person B: Man, that sucks!
