Sometimes known as Mel's Drive-In, a chain of 1950's (and sometimes 60's) themed diner known for nice 50's and 60's music with actual jukebox, delicious meals, and friendly staff. Often brings people who was alive in the 1950's, a lot of memories from these "great times".
This is a great diner! I love this place. I think Jenna's parents decided to name their second child Melanie after Mel's Diner since Jenna and Melanie are completely unrelated names, and they have been to Mel's Diner in Wilmington, New York near Whiteface Ski Resort.
That song by Suzanne Vega (later remixed by DNA) that goes "Do-do-do-do-do-do-do-do-do-do-do-do-do-do-do-do". Inspired by a real life restaurant called "Tom's Restaurant", which can be seen in many episodes of "Seinfeld".
"You know, I'm just chilling at Tom's Diner, smoking cigs and readingGarfield. Oh look, William Holden is dead"
"I am sitting in the morning at the diner on the corner, I am waiting at the counter for the man to pour the coffee."
the new city diner is also known as NCD. One whose drunk or up late and has serious cash to dispose visits for a snack. Also knows as the most expensive diner in Rockland county. The more you pay, the less food you get.
An unpopular but very talented indie/hardcore rock band from the San Francisco Bay area in CA. They have released dozens of records and EPs and their 2 biggest albums are "Difference of Potential" and "The Underdark". Most of their songs contain instrumentals and there is less singing (or screaming) than your average song on MTV. Funeral Diner are a thinking man's band.
