athletic scholarship

How people get into a college they otherwise would have no hope of getting in to.
James: Yo I heard Tyshawn got in to Duke and got a full scholarship, too.

Bill: WHAT I cracked like 2000 on my SATs and had a 4.0 and I got waitlisted. He didn't even score 1000 and he had a 2.0.

James: Yeah but he's the number one basketball prospect in the country. He's on that athletic scholarship.

Wikipedia Scholar

A person who attempts to demonstrate knowledge obtained by searching on Wikipedia. This person has no legitimate degree from an accredited institution in said subject/topic, but will use the online encyclopedia to prove their point on the topic being discussed.

After reading a ridiculous comment from someone that posted a link:

"Oh look, a Wikipedia Scholar is trying to prove himself again."
"Oh the Wikipedia Scholar thinks be correct, because he thinks he has a good source of information."

Organ Scholar

Student at a University or Cathedral employed to help direct the choir and play the organ. Usually talented beyond belief, they balance this by being profoundly weird and ambigious in their sexual orientations.
"Wow, how drunk was I last night?"
"You slept with the organ scholar..."
"Oh, bugger..."

getting something,anything for nothing....
Knowing the bartender as well as he did meant Paul was on full scholarship for his drinks for the night

National Society of High School Scholars

A For-Profit organization that is not listed on Wikipedia that sends out an invitation to people with "academic achievments" asking for
$45.00 - $60.00 as an admission fee. It does not impress on any applications nor does it mean anything.
Just another pointless organization that butters you up with a flattering invitation to con you out of your money.
Better off joining the National Honor Society (NHS) FOR FREE.
Person 1: Did you get an invitation to the National Society of High School Scholars? (NSHSS)
Person 2: Yes! I feel so special
Person 1: It's a scam dude, they're just flattering you to get $60.00
Person 2: Are you sure?
Person 1: Use common sense and Google, dude.

scholarship

Something adults tell you to apply for, because supposedly they lie in abundance. Like all other things adults say, it's a lie. Unless you scored a 2200 + on your SATS, spent your free time tutoring children with dyslexia, wrote your college entrance essay on the human genome project and its relation to modern feminism, your chances of getting one are slim.
Parent: "Mike got a full-ride to Baylor. He can't even spell his own name but he's the nations #1 200 meter runner, and has been All-American every since he sprinted out of the birth canal. You see Jake you could get a scholarship too".

Jake:"Fuck off mom you said the same thing about college.
