n. A defect in MP3 audio files that results in screeching, buzzing, clicking and popping. This symptom, constantly found in files propagated on networks such as Kazaa, was most prevalent on Napster, whence the name is derived.

For God's sake, this MP3 I downloaded is contaminated with the Napster Syndrome.

A person who blames the music industry for stopping Napster and Other P2P services. Sometimes complaining that they can no longer download music but in reallity just wanted porn (because they have no girlfriend).

Napster Bombing 

The act of changing the name/tags of a music file in a peer-to-peer network to reflect that of a well known band. This is done to spread relatively unknown music to an audience that would not listen to it otherwise.

Person 1: Dude, I just found this cool song by Rammstein!
Person 2: That doesn't even sound like them. That's just some group that is napster bombing.

super-keen nadster 

Oxbridge slang for someone who is 'superkeen'; that is, keener than keen. Associated with a strong go-getting attitude, but one that is obvious and public, to the point of being awkwardly endearing or backfiring.

Unclear where 'nadster' originates from. Likely related to nads, as in someone who's "got balls", or the Polish 'nad', meaning 'above' - say, 'above keen'.

"Let's try and be first into the club!"
"Nah, nobody's in there. We'll end up floating around like abandoned toilet paper. Don't want to be super-keen nadsters."
