Internet Scholar

Someone who's knowledge comes from YouTube videos and other internet outlets, then tries to project what they've learned on you.
You're fake smart, just an Internet scholar.

Scholar Ballin'

Example 1:

"My professor has his own Wikipedia page. He's definitely Scholar Ballin'"

Example: 2

Mark: Today in one of my graduate classes we did 3D printing.

David: Wow, that's awesome!

Marke: Yeah, we were Scholar Ballin'

Scholarstorian

A sarcastic term to describe a pseudo-intellectual. Combing the words “scholar” and “historian”, it parodies a non-existent discipline to mock someone who thinks they have intellectual authority over various subjects.

Typically used to describe Wikipedians, it can also be used for journalists, celebrities who hold espoused political views, and the terminally online.
Hey man, did you see that GorillaWarfare, a Wikipedian, is using YouTube as a reference to someone’s new pronouns? Such a scholarstorian, she couldn’t even convince HuffPost to write a source about that.

Internet News Scholar

A person who's sole intelligence comes from their daily reading of the news headlines on MSN.com or similar web-sites.

Most often they are annoying co-workers that need fresh material to bore you to death on a daily basis.
I am about to blow my brains out. Cari won't stop talking about the damn election and yesterday it was all about the bus crash.

Yeah, she is such an annoying Internet News Scholar.

Scholars Academy

Also referred to as Scholars', a place filled with white people who are either from Breezy, Rockaway, Howard Beach and you'll occasionally see a Black person. People from scholars portray themselves as smart geniuses but most of them are dumb as fuck. All the girls are hoes, except the Indians, and all the boys are eff boys. You'll find a ton of unnecessary drama
Susan: I'm smart 'cause I go to Scholars Academy
John: Fuck off

Google Scholar

Someone who believes that easy access to internet articles on a subject is the same as personal, academic, mastery of a subject. Someone who believes that upvotes and popularity of information on the internet is enough for that information to be trustworthy. Someone who disdains or ignores academic journals, primary sources, and university publications because the headlines in a search engine or social media have taught them all they need to know.
Another student cited wikipedia in my informal logic class. All the recent high school grads start off as Google Scholars.
