Delco is not only in Pennsylvania but it’s in New York and this is where all the Yee yee boys live. Your school colors are probably blue and white and occasionally black and you are probably a beast at basketball or soccer. If you live in Delco NY you are probably a try hard. You might even have a cow farm and wear $150 work boots to school. You might even bo goces. You might even have the horses in the back and ride until you can’t no more. If you live here and you’re not a yee yee boy, you want to be a city boy and you try to hard to do so. And it’s cringey.

delco triple crown 

An honorable accomplishment children throughout Delaware County strive for. The delco triple crown involves 3 stages. The first is winning a region 25 championship (preferably in football, basketball or baseball--track and field is not really a sport, more along the lines of a way to practice exercise).

The second step in the Crown is two pronged-one must first survive the delco minute by choosing not to become a j crew catholic, and then winning a Philadelphia Catholic League Title at one of the Catholic High Schools in Delaware County.

If one successfully completes the first two legs in the race for the crown, he is eligible to attempt the final part in his pursuit of the crown. This phase is two fold as well-first, the potential winner must gain admission to a Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) College or University. If the candidate is accepted, and enrolls, he or she must then win a PSAC league championship.

Winning a title at all 3 of these levels is extremely difficult and competitive, and an admirable feat.

Originally a prison term in Delaware County, PA, a federally illegal private prison, one of the worst County jails in the US, Prisoners sneak and cheek meds, and basically to a pot luck snorting powder. Frequently contains, Wellbutrin, Seroquil, Effexor, Benydryl, Ambien, Zoloft, Lithium and basically anything inmates can get. It’s ground into powder and snorted like Cocaine or Heroine. Usually referred to as The Cocktail in delco.

Delco Day

Founded by the podcast Delco Live, it is a day where we celebrate all the great things that make Delco, Delco. Recognized as an official state holiday since 2018 after being unanimously voted on by PA congress. The official day is June 10th. It is celebrated usually the Saturday after or before the tenth with an all day event that raises money for charity.
