To give maximum effort or energy to an event.

To make love with added energy.

To make an engine give its maximum performance.

The train conductor decided to pour the coal to the engine when he went up the hill.
When I saw Sandy last night, I didn't just (make love). I spent 3 hours pouring the coal to her. I had not seen her in weeks!

I made it here in less than an hour. I was pouring the coal to that car.

This is the true way to eat cereal, if you put milk first you are a failure to human kind. The only acceptable way to eat cereal is putting the cereal first! Do not let Asian men tell you other wise *ehem* *cough cough* JUNGKOOK *cough*

Let's go to the club, I hear the girls are pouring tea tonight.

Pouring the milk first 

In cereal, there is two different ways to make it. Pouring the cereal, or the milk first in the bowl. People generally pour in the cereal first. "Pouring the milk first" is considered wrong. People who pour the milk first, shouldn't be trusted.
I had my friend over, and for breakfast he was "pouring the milk first." I will never see him the same way again.

An act of respect involving emptying a 40 or other container of liquor. Performed when one of your close friends or part of your crew dies.

Also used to reminisce about times with that friend on anniversaries, birthdays, etc.
