A kickass folk-ish musical that adapts the Greek myth telling the story of the young lovers, Orpheus & Eurydice which parallels that of the older couple Hades & Persephone all while discussing the challenges of living in a post-apocalyptic and capitalist society. Hadestown won eight Tony Awards at the 73rd Annual Tony Awards and was nominated for fourteen Tonys. The show was written by Anaïs Mitchell and is directed by Rachel Chavkin (both Tony winners, respectively.)
Reeve Carney: Wow! I’m so happy to be involved with the production of Hadestown!
Hadestown’s sub-Tumblrtag: WOW, Hadestown swept at the Tonys and deservedly so!
The ideal man. Probably the funniest man you will ever meet. Hadeed is sweet, handsome, kind, funny, and loving particularly when it comes to the person he loves. At times, he may seem distant, but can turn any situation into a hilarious one.
Did you see Hadeed back there? He's lookin fly as ever.
1. a dealer in notions (mostly British)
2. a dealer in men's clothing and accessories (espeacially hats)
Kramer: Our eyes met across the crowded hat store. I, a customer, and she a coquettish haberdasher. Oh, I pursued and she withdrew, then she pursued and I withdrew, and so we danced. I burned for her, much like the burning during urination that I would experience soon afterwards...
He has the largest heart in the world. He belittles how he really feels and covers it with hate, not many can see through that. Hilarious, cute, passionate, and independent. Love at first sight with that boy.
I met this boy named Hadeed and I fell for him so hard.
