hak gwai 

A Chinese (Cantonese) slang to describe persons of African descent. The slang is often used in a derogatory manner, but may be used for humor as well. The term “hak gwai” translates literally into “black ghost”, which may offend some.

There aren't many hak gwais in the Praries.

The Asian (primarily Chinese) mafia. Typically associated with 1980's Mitsubishi vans with the sliding doors, scrawny Asians in wife beaters wielding machetes and metal chains as depicted in such movies like Young and Dangerous series.

"Hak sei wui pek yau ah!!"

Translation: The mafia is here to kick ass.

hak gway 

A term used by mostly people of Asian ethnicity, used to describe people of African descent. It means black ghost.

It is pronounced, hok-gway.

Though, many people use hak gwai, or hak guay to spell it. This is the correct way of saying it.
