A griot; one of a class of musicians/storytellers of West Africa. Jelis usually accompany themselves on the kora, a type of harp/lute found in the Gambia, Senegal, Mali, Guinea, and Mauritania, or on the xalam, a one- to five-stringed small lutelike or banjolike plucked string instrument. The female counterpart to a jeli is called jelimuso.
Mali produces some of the best jelis in all of West Africa.
Jeli fish, or rather known as jelly fish, is a very interesting organism, with a very excruciating tone of speech. This speech can sometimes be lame or ANVIous. All beware because this organism is well known of its LAIs. Don't be tricked by them.
You are such a jeli fish! That joke wasn'tfunny at all! You're such a LAIer!
