The word Lolicon means a person that has a sexual attraction to anime/manga stylized female characters that look very young or underage. The English word Lolicon is often confused with the Japanese word ロリコン which means attraction to underage girls. However, even though the English word Lolicon is based off of the word ロリコン, it has a different meaning similar to the way Anime has a different meaning than アニメ, Manga has a different meaning than 漫画, or Hentai and 変態, or Otaku and オタク, etc.
It is important that we don't water down the meaning of the word pedophile by using it when referring to lolicons. Lolicons are attracted to lolis, not kids.
