Bitch Duty

The burden that falls upon a close friend of a woman who was recently upset and needs comforting. The term is generally used by a man when he doesn't really care for the subject and is informing someone else on the situation.

Sarah (sobbing): It's unfair, I never get to do what I want when I'm with Jack! *Mumbled sobs

Joe (not listening): Yeah, yeah, ok, yeah. I've got to go make a quick call.

Jack: Hello

Joe (angrily): Jack! For fuck sake, you better make up with Sarah or I'll be stuck on bitch duty until the end of the month!
