Acronym for Down To Interview. This is used by those in the broadcasting industry when reporters are trying to find interviews for their story. Most times it can be difficult, so there are some people who are your "go to" people because they're always willing to comment on a story and do an interview. They're typically politicians, city officials, doctors, etc.
Reporter: I can't get anybody to talk to me about the flu vaccine shortage.
Producer: Have you talked to Mary at the county health department? She's always DTI.
Reporter: I wonder what's going to happen now that the mayor resigned because of his scandal.
News Director: Talk to councilman Johnson. He's DTI. He'll always comment on everything.
