Zemblanity 

-The opposite of Serendipity.

- the inexorable discovery of bad things.
-Making unhappy, unlucky discoveries occurring by design.

-Unpleasant surprise

He knew that something was wrong, but still he decided to ask. The answer to his question confirming his thoughts. She was dead. It was pure zemblanity.

A moment of extreme ignorance and/or confusion almost simultaneously followed by a gloriously epic epiphany of some sort.

"Wait Jakie, you're telling me girls don't adore kung-fu movies for their anniversaries?"

"WOW NICK OF COURSE NOT!"

"So girls like diamonds, shoes, clothes, and stuffed animals?"

"Yes, EXACTLY!"

"Well thats shallow."

"Were a shallow race"

"I just had a zeblanc moment; girls are a shallow race who only like shoes, clothes, stuffed animals, and diamonds."

Zemblanity is the opposite of serendipity, meaning that it is an unlucky or unwanted, but predictable, event.

Example of zemblanity: Everybody knows they will die but dont want to die
