| 1. | wikipedia snowball | ||
|
Like a snowball rolling down a mountain, growing ever larger as it continues toward the bottom, a wikipedia snowball occurs when one researches something on the wikipedia, only to then click link after link into subsequent articles of interest until, suddenly, several hours have passed. "I'm sorry I'm late, I got caught in a wikipedia snowball. I was looking for information on the new James Bond movie and suddenly four hours had passed. On the bright side, now I know what happens in Marvel Zombies, I can tell you how astronomers gauge the temperature of stars, and why World War I started."
'You're still fired.' "Fuck." |

| 3. | Wikipedia page-hopping | ||
|
When you go on wikipedia and find an article then click on a hyperlink, then click on another hyperlink on another page, etc. David Bowie and Lou Reed were Wikipedia page-hopping one night when they realised they were really really awesome.

| 4. | [wikipedia game] | ||
|
Clicking on "random article" and going from that article to Jesus by only using the links in the text. You have to do it in 6 clicks or less, its based off of the Six Degrees of Separation and seriously if you didnt get it then you screwed up cuz its possible from everything. Also when you are taken to something that isnt specific and lists things that are more specific, then picking one of them is not a click. And if you look at the Contents box and click something, it doesnt count. Guy: "Dude I jus got from Bethesda, Ohio to Jesus in 4 clicks in the wikipedia game!"
Other guy: "...do you want a cookie?" |

| 5. | Wikipedia Rathole | ||
|
The act of losing between 45-120 minutes while performing click-throughs from the initial Wikipedia page you were interested in.... often leading you to knowledge that has no relationship what-so-ever to your original search. Man, I was lost 2 hours and missed a meeting because I went down a Wikipedia Rathole. However, I do now know that Richie Sambora is was born in Woodbridge, NJ.
NOTE: Original search was snow fall amounts in the NE. |

| 6. | Wikipedia Theory | ||
|
The theory that all Wikipedia pages are somehow connected to others by links, and that you can get from one to another just by clicking links on each one. I used the Wikipedia Theory to click my way from the article about unicorns to the one about the Apple iPad.

| 7. | Hitler Wikipedia Game | ||
|
A game with the object of reaching Hitler's Wikipedia page by clicking on "Random Article", then clicking links in that article to get to other articles, until eventually you can find a link to Adolf Hitler's page. There are rules against using the "find on this page" option in your browser, and there is sometimes a time limit on how long you can spend on each page. Your score is determined by your number of clicks before clicking on Hitler's page. If you reach Hitler's page by clicking on "Random Article", you win the game forever and are probably Jesus. me: Yo, this computer class is so boring, lets play that Hitler Wikipedia game.
you: okay...*click*...OH MY GOD HITLERS PAGE CAME UP WHEN I CLICKED RANDOM ARTICLE!!! me: HOLY JESUS!!!!!!!!! |
