2. When an employee at a radio station is gone from his office, desk, or cubicle for an extended period of time without giving a reason in advance.

3. (Used in radio/TV industry) Doing less than a good job; phoning it in.
"You can tell he's voice tracking - he's predicting a sunny day when it's obviously going to rain."
