8. mom emails
Your typical viral or spam email (or cyberprop) meant to either scare or amaze gullible or trustworthy people, who believe anything on the internet, and so get sent to you by your mom. The Mom emails that are making outlandish claims usually can be dis-proven by snopes.com. They most often contain large bolded text and have something to do with either politics or chemicals in house hold products. You will usually receive 3-4 of these emails at one time as moms don't check and send their emails as often.

AKA: an unsuspecting spammer... only it's your mom, and she doesn't send you enlargement adds.

NOTE: The content of these emails can also include not so funny jokes, or mildly amusing/amazing photos.
Mom emails include large bolded text like:

"PLEASE FORWARD TO ALL OF YOUR FRIENDS."

"DOES ANYONE OUT THERE KNOW HOW WE CAN STOP THIS....."
"I'm not breaking this one. If I get it a 1000 times, I'll forward it a 1000 times!"
9. Low Information Voter
One who votes based on information gleaned from other low information voters, rumors, viral emails, and FOX "News".
Low Information Voters are skewing the electorate in favor of the corporatocracy because they don't have the curiousity or ability to research facts for themselves. Low Information Voters will vote against labor unions, in spite of the fact that the labor unions are responsible for getting them the 40 hour work week, decent wages, employer provided health insurance, vacations, lunch hours, and breaks, among other things.
10. Pirate Marketing
A term describing the so-called "marketing strategy" of spammers who "advertise" or plug) their products and services by using people’s email addresses to send out bulk mail messages to all the contacts they've hijacked, pretending the email was written by the person who's identity they have hacked into.

This is done to suggest a person has tried and tested the product and to spread bogus word of mouth virally. This is entirely fraudulent and can potentially hurt a person’s reputation, but thankfully this method is used by individuals and groups who are just as stupid as the people they are trying to scam (i.e. catering to the lowest denominator). For this reason, the spam message itself is usually as easy to detect as the cheap knockoffs (or stolen goods) they are trying to unload on unsuspecting victims.
Here is a prime example of pirate marketing allegedly sent from a friend:

According to Wikipedia, spam averages 78% of all e-mail sent.

12. thousand cranes
1) a simple act, costing nothing at all, with the power to save a life- when only a simple act of kindness can. It is often done to support a cause you believe in, when you can't make a charitable contribution- but make every effort to draw support from others.

An example of a 'thousand cranes' act would be the fundraiser called, "The Heart of a soldier"or "the story of Sultan and SFC Brian Assanowicz" where a community in NJ has come together to raise funds for a stray dog rescued by a U.S. soldier stationed in Afghanistan. in this example, the Vet-i-care division of NorthStar Vets in NJ has committed itself to saving this dog's life- before the funds can be raised.

another example of a 'thousand cranes' act would be to support this cause, if only to find the event flyer online and email it to a news station- which is much simpler than folding even a single

13. ocean marketing (also spelled "ocean marketting")
A marketing faux pas/way of business where you don't take care of your customers as well as treat them like shit, and sooner or later a berated customer gets vocal, shit hits the fan, the PR goes viral, and in a matter of hours your business and name is kicked to the curb by your industry.
Paul Christoforo, who ran ocean marketing (also spelled "ocean marketting"), berated a customer in an email convo, after O.M. wouldn't tell him when his video game controller purchase would arrive. The customer then sent the email convo to Mike Krahulik, a big name in the gaming industry (PAX convention organizer and penny-arcade.com co-creator) who posted it, effectively ruining O.M.'s chance of working in the industry again.
