|1.||Fort Vancouver Drama Club|
Fort Vancouver High School Drama Club is a club full of kids who are gay, straight, bi-sexual, and every other thing you can imagine. Only one problem. They are all white. So there might be the occasional kid from Guam who comes in, but 99% of them are in fact white.
If you are at Fort Vancouver and don't know who they are, look for the kids who are sitting in front of room 316, the drama room, in the morning. Some will have shirts that say "Shakespeare is my Homeboy". They also may be singing or speaking in English accents.
Twice a year, Fort Drama puts on a school play. Everyone in the play is forced by our drama teacher to wear their costume and stage makeup too all their classes on openining night. This a.) advertises the play and b.) proves drama kids have no shame.
"Hey, join Fort Vancouver Drama Club. We meet every thursday after school in room 316 at 2:15! We accept EVERYBODY so you should join!"
|2.||Point Grey Secondary School|
Point Grey Secondary School is an high school located in Vancouver, Canada. If you are looking at this, you probably go there or know someone who does. Point Grey Secondary School is particularly facinating because it hosts the mini school program, which is for smart people, as well as the life skills program, which is for not so bright students. Point Grey has one of the highest ratio of locker break-ins in the district, and the highest ammount of anorexic girls in the district. All in all, Point Grey is an anomaly.
Steve: Hey what school do you go to?
Ross: I go to Point Grey Secondary School.
Steve: So you go to the mini school there?
Ross: Nah, I applied, but I wasn't smart enough to get in, so I'm in the main stream school.
Steve: Wow, sucks to be you.
Ross: Yeah, but mini school is for nerds.
Steve: But I thought you applied.
Ross: *no comment*
|3.||West Vancouver Secondary School|
The most diverse White school you will ever see.more...
Most attending used to be foreign at one point in their lives but succumbed to the white clichés such as obsessive facebook use and creation of drama at one wrong glance at the wrong person.
Those who delude themselves into believing haven't turned "white-wash", although they express these actions daily, spend large amounts of effort sticking to one group and ignoring all others such as the Korean, Chinese, German, Persian and so on groups.
West Vancouver Secondary "gangsters" consist of mainly individuals who think they’re tough, pretend they're street and act like they work selling drugs everyday and they've seen things that would scar you for life.
Right. We’re all aware your daddy bought you those “gangsta clothes” and your "badass" drug trade originated from the British Properties. I’ve seen worse than that on my way to the bus stop.
Student classes are set into two different divisions. The Regular students, and the IB students.
The difference between regular students and IB students, is if in IB, everyone in regular assumes your freaking brilliant.
Even in the early stages of grade 10 when IB isn’t even that much harder than regular, your report card score might as well go up 30%.
“He got a 60% average? Oh but he’s in IB so it must be like a 90 in regular.”
Not that the IB students are rushing to correct them.
But unlike the common high school drama, no group is really considered to be “popular” but ins...
|4.||Skyview High school|
A popular high scool located in Vancouver Washington, Known for it's "richness" when actually, they just get the money cuz they're a brand new school. Known for it's heavy drug use espcially E and Coke. Teachers don't care about students, and every sterotype you can think about a cheerleader is a prime example of the school. Called skankview by others.
Hey man you go to skyview High School?
Good for you!
|5.||St. George's School|
A school for the rich and spoiled in Vancouver, BC (aka the 604). People come here expecting a great atmosphere and great teachers, but the truth is that most of them don't give a sh*t about the students. In addition, the school markets itself on its university placement records.more...
Student elections are rigged by the headmaster, therefore the supposed "democracy" is a total failure. The administration never, EVER listens to the students pleas and requests, therefore making this school looking more like a authoritarian regime rather than an actual "school". Some teachers don't know how to teach, or they just simply don't care. Most of them care more about the sports they coach rather than the classes they teach.
On top of all this, St. George's School is an all boys school, which is something most student do not like. Students turn their head towards the first sign of a female species, no matter how hot the individual is...this is all because of the lack of girls in the school.
To get into this elitist-attitude prep school, all you have to do is play rugby. The sport of rugby is the engine that drives the school - play rugby, and you are accepted. All other sports (except basketball) are often overlooked or looked down upon. Often, academic-inclined applicants are rejected for some dumb recruit.
|6.||Shawnigan Lake School|
Shawnigan Lake School is a prestigious Canadian boarding school located on Vancouver Island. It was founded by Englishman, C.W. Lonsdale, and modelled after England's leading private school, Westminister School.more...
Every student is required to participate in a sport, four times a week, for the whole year. The most popular sports are rugby, field hockey, and rowing. The school spends hundreds of thousands of dollars in order to maintain the sports equipment.
Students at Shawnigan are usually the children of billionaires, including business men, lawyers, doctors, actors, or film makers. They spend their ten-day breaks cruising in the Carribean or skiing in the Hamptons. Students work hard and part hard. Not only do they graduate to Ivy League universities, they throw amazing parties on leave weekends.
Uniform is required at Shawnigan, like it is at any other Canadian prep school. For classroom dress, girls wear polos with either a v-neck sweater, sweater-vest, or cardigan, and a grey or beige skirt (depending on the season) with white or grey knee socks (or black tights in winter). Boys wear the same on top, and they have their choice of grey trousers (winter) or khaki shorts (summer). They are required to wear plain black dress shoes. Every saturday and on formal events, students wear their "number ones", which include a dark blue blazer, white oxford, tie, and a grey kilt and knee socks for girls and grey trousers for boys.
