look up any word:
1. Canadian Armed Forces
Quite possibly the most underestimated force in the world. The Canadian Armed Forces are underfunded, yet they play such an important role in the world, in peacekeeping and in areas such as Afghanistan. A Canadian army sniper holds the distance record for taking out a target. Still, underfunding hampers them. Each of Canada's 4 subs have problems, the helis keep crashing, and the government is ignoring the plight while putting up the soldiers for extended combat in Afghanistan.
PPCLI Corporal Rob Furlong (Canadian Armed Forces) (Operation Anaconda, Afghanistan) - holds record for the longest-ever recorded and confirmed sniper kill at 2,430 metres (1.5 miles) using a .50 caliber (12.7 mm) McMillan TAC-50 rifle.
2. Secondary School
Sure, it's British and Scottish and MAYBE even Irish, but in Canada we call it secondary school too. It comes after Elementary School and Middle School, and in more eastern provinces, Junior Secondary.

Usually grades 9-12, or 8-12, 7-12, etc. sometimes too.

The equivalent of high school in the USA, secondary school is under-funded and under-staffed. Buying lunch is optional, and most people are forced to eat outside in all weather conditions because the cafeteria has around 10 tables. It's all catered but is very expensive to buy and not healthy at all. No uniforms or dress code unless people start dressing really risqué, and even then, there's probably no funding to make the uniforms so everyone just wears what they want. The teachers are nice on their good days and terrible on every other day but constantly hint at their small pay-cheques. Our electronics constantly get stolen and we have to get the RCMP in there nearly every day to arrest somebody. No homework because the teachers are too underfunded to get toner for the copier, and you usually end up sharing four to a textbook. It's terrible, really. The only thing we do is watch YouTube videos on the projectors.
Two students are eating lunch outside in -10 celsius conditions.

Student 1: "Today we had to do a science experiment with a voltmeter but the thing didn't work so we had to sit and watch it done on YouTube."

Student 2: "What do you want, that's secondary school for ya."
3. education
Not something you can easily get here in the good 'ol USA.
We can't get a proper education here in the U.S. because all of the schools are grossly underfunded, the teachers underpaid, and everything we're taught nothing but lies painted rose.

4. ukspa
Rather swanky but tragically underfunded Association for UK Science Parks. Ethiaa wants to work for them.
Wow, the Genome research group? They are even more fun than UKSPA!

5. school
underfunded government facility designed to give children and teenagers a view of life in the years to come.

Many relate the word "school" to "hell".

The hours of operation of this government facility are usually 8am to 3pm.
Timmy: I'm going to school.
Tommy: I'm not that insane.

6. Canadian army
A grossly underfunded army. Underfunded, simply because of our Liberal government ignoring them in favour of billion-dollar gun-control fiascos.

However, Canada's military has been known to do quite well with the money they have. We have one of the best-trained fighting forces in the world, as our soldiers are not trained as specialists (like in the US). Rather, they are trained heavily in a wide variety of areas.

Canada's military also invented the most effective camouflage currently in existence, the revolutionary CAnadian Disruptive PATtern, or CADPAT. It is a digital pattern, printed in leafy-green or desert pixels by a computer. The US Marines copied this design and turned it into MARPAT (MARine PATtern).

The service rifle of the Canadian Forces, the Diemaco C7, is essentially a US-issue Armalite M16, but better.
The Canadian army does a surprisingly good job, considering their funding.
