A feeble instrument played by people with huge egos that are usually short and or want attention. Somtimes thought of as the loudest instrument, but is actually scientifically proven to be quieter than a trombone, it's just higher, so the human ear picks it up easier. In reality, I, being a trombone player, can outplay the entire woodwind section of my band or about 3 trumpets. However, I don't, because I'm not a self-centered a-hole that things his instrument is awesome.
One trombone player is capable of outplaying(scientifically proven):4 french horns, 40 clarinets, 3 trumpets, 7 tubas.

If low brass stop supporting trumpet players with harmony and backround, the trumpets sound like shit. You people are part of the band too.

1. The greatest musical instrument of classical and jazz music.
2. An instrument that gets all the solos.
1. Everyone recognizes a trumpet whenever they see it or hear it being played.
2. The trumpet got the solo because it sounded so cool and could be heard easily.

An instrument created to appease the gods; a music device that takes a month to learn and a lifetime to master.
The solemn tone of the trumpet caused even the most apathetic audience member to shed a tear.

The most brilliant and spectacular of all musical instruments. People hear one note of the trumpet, and instantly recognize the superiority displayed by the instrument and the player. People diss trumpet player egos, but everyone knows it's just jealousy. The trumpet is the instrument of God.
All trumpet players are perfect.

an instrument that rules all the rest. you can't get louder than a trumpet, so don't try. the only reason people dis the trumpet is because they're jealous, and we understand that.
Hey man what instrument do you play?
The trumpet, duh!
Oh, sorry dude. I didn't know you were a god.

A brass instrument with three valves and a conical bore. It plays in treble clef and has a range of roughly two and a half octaves, from F# below the staff to C above the staff. The trumpet is widely used in many musical scenarios, and is very prominent in wind ensembles, orchestras, jazz bands and brass ensembles.

Though the instrument generally has a range of two and a half octaves, many trumpet players extend their range "into the stratosphere", sometimes even above the High C.

The sound of the trumpet is noble and brilliant, and is capable of great power and energy, yet is also able to produce beautiful, sonorous melodies. The trumpet is prized for it's flexibility, dexterity, and power of sound.

There are several instruments that have developed from the trumpet, including the flugelhorn, cornet, and piccolo trumpet.

Some famous trumpet players include Adolph Herseth, Allen Vizzutti, Wynton Marsalis, Sergei Nakariakov, Maynard Ferguson, Miles Davis, Dizzy Gillespie, and Louis Armstrong.
"I love the trumpet solo from the Cavaliers' marching show!"

"My lips are killing me, I've been practicing my trumpet for an hour and a half."

"That band's trumpet section is phenominal!"

The greatest instrument ever. The instrument that gets to play fanfares. The instrument that can produce many messed-up (in a good way) sounds. For example, blowing air across the valve end caps produces a low wind-whistle, and if you trill the valve, the wind-whistle also trills. You can shriek by blowing a sharp burst of air across the mouthpiece. You can sound like an elephant by lowering the valves halfway and blowing.

Also, the first five letters spell "trump"
--Whoa, what's that? It's friggin' huge!
--That's the trumpet ego.

the trumpet is the greatest instrument ever. It gets most of the solos in all of the groups, can be played in orchestra, classical, jazz, or just about anything else. trumpets are normally cocky with great reason. trumpet is the best instrument in the world! hail to the brass! pep bands die with out the trumpets because they're the loudest and the best.
P1: man have you heard that kid play the trumpet?
P2: yeah... he's such a screamer, it's awesome!
P1: if he keeps going like that he's going to be like Miles Davis
