a person who enforces message board rules in an imperious, incessant, or otherwise annoying manner.

The term "threadcop" originates from the idea of calling a message board topic a "thread." This hails back to the naming conventions of older message board systems.

Sally was the one who kept quoting the Op. She was being a threadmother.

Threadbear 

A person who comments on a thread dedicated to a topic they pretend to abhor but secretly find fascinating, if for no other reason than they are compelled to act out a deep-seated impulse to be a total opinionated douche bag. This condition is often coupled with bitchitus and in some people can lead to chronic dickiness.

If one encounters a threadbear squatting on a site, it is best to let it shit then move on without interruption.

threadless 

Ew. Please don't describe threadless as EMO. That's disgusting.

Threadless is a community for graphic designers (either amateurs or those studying in college). People vote on their designs and those with high scores/appeal to many/etc. are printed and put into the threadless catalog. They reprint shirts every Monday. Right now threadless is being ruined by cruddy designs with pop culture references or with bunches of silhouettes of foilage, animals and whatnot because of it's growing community that seems to like that sort of thing. Threadless is spreading like a disease now. Ah well, at least skinnyCorp is making money. D:

Did you check threadless this Monday? Most of the new prints are godawful. Well, at least the reprints are nice.
