16. guitar hero
An awesome multi-platform game that has become a pop-culture phenomenon due to it's ability to make the player feel like they are a talented guitarist without having to waste any time actually leaning how to play a guitar.

Like all things that experience fast widespread success, and cause hot topics of conversation, it has it's detractors. Mainly guitar-players who are angry at the game's ability to make them look bad, and because they didn't know about it first. Like all critics of this type, they take an elitst stance and usually combat any conversation regarding the game with statements like 'Why don't you just play a real guitar'. Or 'It's just a poor man's version of a real guitar', ignorant to the well-noted fact that no girl has been impressed by a guy who can play the guitar skillfully since 1995.

It is this shift in the female gender's attraction from the traditional guitarists to non-instrumental vocalists that has garnered much resentment from the guitarist community. In addition to the fact that being a member of a small band is now less attractive than being a Level 639 at Warcraft.

It is also worth noting that while there are other games that simulate the experience of a sport or activity, such as the Tony Hawk's Pro Skater franchise, Dance Dance Revolution, 'music-making' games, and Sim-whatever; which do not recieve the same hostility from their peer groups. "Why don't you just go and skate/dance/compose/build your OWN theme-park. This is understo...

17. terrorism
Simply put, using threats of death, violence, insurrection or intimidation for political gain occuring most often in the Middle East, but is spreading rapidly around the world. Terrorism is not a 20th Century phenomenon. It traces its history back many, many centuries. Terrorism, in its traditional sense, began in the Middle East and is actually the result of an ongoing family feud between the desendants of Abraham: Ishmael and Issac and the battle between Israel and Palestine. According to Genesis chapters 21-22, Abraham was promised a son by God in his old age. As a result of his unbelief, he had an illegitimate son named Ishmael (the father of the Arabs) with his maidservant Hagar. Abraham and his wife Sarah then had a younger, legitimate son named Isaac (father of the Jews and ultimately the nation of Israel) that God had promised. According to Jewish law, the first-born male of every family (Ishmael in this case) receives a birthright. The birthright was land (today the nation of Israel). However, Ishmael was not the legitimate son and was not entitled to the land but to Isaac instead. After Abraham’s test by God of offering Isaac as a sacrifice, he was promised a “great nation”—the Jewish nation and ultimately the land of Israel. Ishmael and his descendants tried to take the land away from Isaac’s descendants and everything has been hell as a result. Terrorism is the result of this family feud because it denies Israel’s right to exist and wants to destroy it. Terrori...

18. Terrorism
Simply put, it's a way of using threats of death, violence, insurrection or intimidation for political gain that occurs most often in the Middle East, but is spreading rapidly around the world.

Terrorism is nothing new and not a 20th Century phenomenon. Terrorism in the Middle East is a result of cultural, religious and political conflicts that has evolved from years of feuding between Arabs and Jews over disputed land in southwest Asia. It traces its history back many, many centuries to the time of Abraham (recognized by Muslims, Christians and Jews) as a result of a family feud between Abraham's descendants, Ishmael and Isaac, over land and the "birthright" in Genesis chapters 21-23. Abraham was promised a son by God in his old age. As a result of Abraham's unbelief, he had an illegitimate son named Ishmael (the father of the Arabs and Palestinians) with his maidservant Hagar. Abraham and his wife Sarah then had a younger, legitimate son named Isaac (father of the Jews and ultimately the nation of Israel) that God had promised. According to Jewish law, the first-born male of every family (Ishmael in this case) receives a birthright. The birthright, in this case, was land (today the nation of Israel belonging to the Jews). However, Ishmael was not the legitimate son and was not entitled to the land, but to Isaac instead. After Abraham’s test by God of offering Isaac as a sacrifice, he was promised a “great nation”—the Jewish nation and ultimately the land of Israel. I...

21. Metalhead
Metalhead: not to be confused with "metal fan", A Metalhead listens to metal that was created out of passion for Metal and the remnants of the culture that was and is. Metalheads despise trends within the genre or when non-metalhead musicians exploit the credit metal has had to try and be cool make money off of it. Metalheads hate bands who; pull stunts&change sounds for money/ripped off metal to be a shade less "emo"/are fuckin pussies and claiming to be tough.
Many Metalheads grew up listening to metal and got into drugs and heavy drinking at a age earlier than most.
Few people that claim to be metalheads are in fact that. The genre has become increasingly watered down with cowardly faggots just seeking a place to fit in and the usual dilluting effect that big buisness has on subcultures. Also metalheads strengh to resist trends and be defiant to resistance/opposition/and have a strong sub culture with litlt to no funding from big business resulted in great pride that could be heard in the genre in the sounds of the 80's and 90's. Unfortunetly the strengh and power of metal was ripped off and exploited my musicians who had no substance of their own, playing their, stagnant, corporation backed genre's that died out with lack of corporate investment. This lead to garbage being released that got called metal just to have credibility. More and more bigger record labels started calling their releases once labelled as hard rock and alternative as metal souring the ...
