2. techno
without techno, there would be no crap rap
techno is more than beats also; it's spawned the likes of prodigy, orbital, kraftwerk.

it's also given rise to big beat, industrial, gabba, acid, trance, ambient etc
I like a combination of music, namely electronic music and rock, but I have no time for rap, eminem may take the piss out of moby but if it wasn't for early electronic and techno influences, pop shit, rap and hip hop would be nowhere.

3. J-Pop
Pop music from Japan.J-Pop nowadays is becoming increasingly popular around the world for its nice blend of techno, pop and rock.It really hits the spot, you don't have to learn Japanese to enjoy it.And they don't haveta make slutty and horny acts on TV to popularize themselves unlike some artists I know *cough**cough*Britney Spears*cough*Aguilera*cough*Beyonce*cough*
I'm so hooked up with J-Pop that I almost turned Wapanese

4. pop-punk
A more popular form of a Punkish type of Rock. It loses (most or all of) the additutde of Punk while keeping its 1 2 3 rhythm. Good Pop-Punk bands would be old Blink-182, Old Sum 41, American Hi-Fi, Zebrahead, and Motion City Soundtrack. Bad Pop-Punk bands would be new Sum 41, Fall Out Boy, Panic! At The Disco and The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus.

Pop-Punk was a style that was around in the 80's but made a bigger spring in the late 90's and early 21st century. Pushing away the horrible Madonna and Britney influenced techno which clouded up the 90's.

Characteristics of Pop-Punk include

A 1 2 3 Rhythm

Clean vocals

By the way to all you guys who say Punk was anti-mainstream it really wasn't. Because The Ramones and The Sex Pistols and The Clash were mainstream so how they be anti-mainstream?

Anyway more recently Pop-Punk has taken a turn to more emotional types of lyrics, usually from the point of view of a boy who is observing problems that a girl is having or problems he is having with a girl.
Some Pop-Punk is good.
5. Neo
A Hybridiztion of Rock, Pop, and Hip-Hop using methods, elements and samples intended for Electronic or Industrial music. Such styles can carry a term like "Electronic-Pop" or "Industrial-Hip Hop". The term Neo implies that the structure of the music is a new approach to an established portrayal of the original style. Such styles usually involve several styles or sub-genres of music in one song.
Instead of using a term like "techno-pop with electric guitars" (Neo-Rock) or "R&B Dance music with an electronic twist" (Neo-Pop), just use to word Neo.
6. Nightcore
The most awesome genre of music out there in this world. Easy to described in just 2 words: fast and cute! o(^_^)o

Since there aren't any musicians who produce this genre, fans of nightcore are usually remixing their fav songs into the best genre ever! b(^_^)d

TRUE Nightcore - very fast beats and very positive (i.e. listening to it makes you feel happy) and of course high-pitched, good for dancing, exercising, doing housework and homework XD

Examples (look them up on youtube):
Nightcore - Kiss me
Nightcore - Ass up
Nightcore - You (Livin' In My Heart)
Nightcore - Solo Tu (Only you)
Nightcore - Stamp on the Ground
Nightcore - Dance is my Love
Nightcore - Keep on Moving
Nightcore - I'm so Lucky, Lucky
Nightcore - Time
Nightcore - Anime Libera
Nightcore - The Riddle
Nightcore - I'll fly with You (L'Amour Toujours)

Trance Nightcore - similar to nightcore, but slower, so may look like trance with high-pitch to some people.
Nightcore - Clear Blue Water
Nightcore - Time is Ticking (sometimes it's remixed more, so there's less trance in it and more nightcore)

And now a SURPRISE:
In Japan there is a band called Perfume, although they consider their songs to be "techno pop", it is quite close to the genre of "nightcore"!!! But most likely the term "nightcore" didn't make it yet to Japan, so go on youtube and take a look at these songs:
Perfume - Electro World
Perfume - Computer City
Perfume - Dream Fighter
more...
7. Techno Jazz
The fusion of techno and jazz, often producing an 8-bit jazz chord sound. The use of techno effects and jazz melodies often results in techno jazz. Sometimes, dubstep elements are incorporated.
Person 1: "Hey, did you hear Sigh by Rin?"

Person 2: "I was loving the techno jazz!"
