1. Vanilla Ice was not the first white rapper - there was at least the Beastie Boys before (and much better and arguably authentic)
2. You don't rip off on the track for a rap song because it is generally based on other tracks - originally it was by mixing records (as in the Sugar Hill gang) and then it was sampled - when "Ice Ice Baby" was done there were still lots of problems about copyright of the original sampled tune (notably with James Brown who everybody used)as the music industry hadn't quite come to terms with the music. A lot of them only came to terms with the original musicians if their song became a hit 3. Crap record but he did try to do it properly - it is probably as much the music industry's fault as his that it became a hit as they weren't exactly into promoting balck hip-hop or rap acts who were much better 4. Wiggers pre-dated him - white rastas pre-dated him - Ahmet Ertegun pre-dated him - what's the problem? Vanilla Ice is silly

One of New York City's oldest neighbrohoods. Harlem has history. I mean mad history. Harlem is a famous neighborhood that homed many famous people, and I don't mean these whack-ass rap artists. The layout in Harlem has many pre-war row houses, apartment buildings and many other type of housings. There is also A LOT of famous places in this neighborhood, which varies through restaurants to arts & music to cultural places. Very well known to the famous Apallo Theater. Streets are named after famous people as well, such as 'Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard' and 'Malcolm X Avenue'. Harlem also has neighboring districts such as 'East Harlem, 'Sugar Hill', 'Hamilton Heights', 'Marble Hill' and many others. Neighborhoods near Harlem would be 'Washington Heights', 'Inwood' and the 'Upper East Side'.
However, Harlem was completely ruined by crime after the '40s. Crime went up to a huge %70, but in the past few years the neighborhood has gotten better and crime went down %64 thanks to (former) Mayor Roudolf Guiliani and (present) Mayor Michael Bloomberg. Harlem is a great place to visit.

The typical gansta rapper feels that going to prison is a right of passage. They lack education, common sense , manners and good dressing habits. A great many of the Rappers of this time are homophobes who are in fact closeted homosexuals. Names such as 50 cent and Snoop dog are but only 2 names on the list of several homosexual/pedophile rappers who publicly object to homosexuality yet behind close doors engage in homosexual acts. Rappers such a snoop dog and 50 cent are known for having drug additions such as the use of crack cocaine that in effect warps their minds. With out rock, there would be no rap these days. Why? because rappers have to sample rock so that they can fortify their no-talent form. Rap is crap because unlike rock- Rap people dont know how to write music or even play an instrument. <a record player is not an istrument> Examples of instruments: Gibson electric guitar. saxaphone. madalin. cello. these require musical training. I was in a pawn shop looking at an electric guitar. The kid behind the counter was playing some kind of free style thing. Just for kicks I played some heavy metal power chords on a fat strat along with it It sounded pretty good to him so he jumped over the counter and grabbed a guitar and asked me to show him how to play what I played. SO I showed him and he said. ”no no where do I put my fingers on the thing here with the strings?” I said “well sparky your gonna need to spend a few years learning how to play” I spent a few minutes with him showing him how to play some simple chords but his fingers got sore and he quit. See you rapper people can not compete with rockers and never will. What we do requires talent and technical ability. All that rappers know is how to spout obscenities and scratch records. Sample our tunes because they don’t have the ability to put musical notation to paper, read music or even sing in the correct key. Bands like Styx, Fleetwood mac, Queen and the Dobbies Wrote their own music note by note. They made their own beats with drums- not computers. And played real instruments- pianos guitars etc. What a rapper does is sample or bastardise someone else’s music because they lack the ability to do it on their own. People who say that rap is crap are not prejudice and to say they are is theater of the absurd and further proof of how uneducated one is for spouting th... |

Starbucks is a very successful chain of coffee shops around the world. The first Starbucks was privately owned in Seattle, Washington, America and it was also named after a Moby Dick character 'Starbuck'. Starbucks created the 'Frappuchino' which is blended ice with a choice of most variety of their coffee's.
In my opinion, Starbucks is one of the best tasting coffee in the world and the best quality. Starbucks are located in most areas, like two on a street...or more... which is good because theyre easy to get when in a hurry. Starbucks coffee shops are a nice relaxed environment, great to sit and discuss things and to just have coffee and relax. People who diss Starbucks and say they have awful coffee, which in fact it is just the persons taste in coffee. Not Starbucks. Starbucks put their time and effort into the coffee they produce to ensure it IS the best they can offer which is the best. These people who dislike them must be used to coffee shops that don't even serve coffee, probarbly just heaps of flavouring and tons of sugar and syrup. Starbucks is real coffee, so nerrr. Larry and Pete are in a hurry to work and they are looking for a coffee shop.
Pete: We need some coffee, where can we go? Larry (still half asleep): Huh? Oh I dunno... Pete: How bout we go to the local diner? Larry: Nah, thats like over the hill, its too far Pete: Well where? Quick we need to get to work! Larry: STARBUCKS!!! Pete: Where? Larry: The one on the corner! Pete: No, hang on theres one right here Larry: What? The one across the street? Pete: No. The one HERE *both walk into Starbucks* Pete: Yay Larry: Meh... Larry: *takes sip from his Venti Frapp* Larry: YEY!!!!!!!!!!! Oh hey Pete, didn't see you there! Pete: Okay? Larry: Mornin, I remember what I was going to do today! Pete: Good to see you're awake! Larry: I have my Starbucks, Pete. Of course I'm awake. *both get to work in time, happy and with their Starbucks to get them through the day* |
