stimming

Stim, stims or stimming is short for "self stimulation". Almost everyone does it(tapping feet, cracking knuckles, twiddling thumbs), but in autistic people these behaviors are more pronounced and may seem downright strange. Autistic people often engage in stimming when they are stressed, to self regulate and sometimes to express emotion.

Common autistic stims are: rocking back and forth, headbanging(not the music kind), finger flicking/rippling, spinning, humming, repeating words or sounds and complex body contortions.

Good music makes me stim a lot.

Stimming shouldn't be discouraged, it's a means for me to understand my environment.

Stemming 

Stemming itself, is the act of anal sex, whilst the "receiver" has chronic, unstoppable diarrhoea, therefore "stemming" the flow. Beware of projectile sprays, and the preparation of plastic sheeting beforehand is a very commonly held practice.

Stemming is something beautiful that occurs between either straight couples, or gay men. It is generally the man, or the "daddy" doing the stemming, as the woman needs an extra attachment to make it work, therefore making it less popular.

Warning: Be conscious of causing an unintentional rose-bud, or pink sock. These events are widely known to be very disconcerting.

Example 1;

Man 1 enters room, and gags/vomits uncontrollably, "Oh my god, this room is vile... and the smell!"

Man 2, "Oh yeah, I brought this filthy bitch back last night and I was stemming her all night... I should probably clean this mess up."

Man 1, with a big shitty grin on his face, "Yeah, it did surprise her... and she's still cleaning up the mess now. Haha!"

A situation in which the consumption of alcohol has caused the "higher" brain functions to cease leaving only those operations controlled by the brain stem such as heartbeat and breathing.

Symming

The obsessive compulsive practice of making the sequence, pressure, and/or intensity of sensations match on both sides of the body, rubbing toes together or making every footstep have a symmetrical amount of pressure for example. This behavior is shared by both people who suffer from OCD and autism, the term for which has been coined by u/GoatsWithWigs after reaching out to r/autism with a comic depicting symming via toe flicking. Not to be confused with stimming.

Person A: Why are you tapping your feet on the ground?

Person B: Sorry, I was just symming. One foot tapped hard on the ground, so I had to tap my other foot just as hard to make my feet feel symmetrical
