When the braking of a car is left to one's choice due to an unnecessary stop sign.

Passenger: Did you just blow through that stop sign?

Driver: Oh, no worries. It was stoptional.

1.)The option to stop at a stop sign or flashing red light that has been placed in a unnecessary intersection.

2.)The stop sign or flashing red light at the intersection itself.

When you get to the McDonald's turn right, than go through the stoption and I am the 3rd house on your right!

stop motion

Stop motion anmation is a way of creating films. The character (a toy or clay model) has it's picture taken. It is then moved a tiny bit and has another picture taken. After about 15 frames (pictures) you have 1 seconds worth of film!

Stoptional 

A STOP sign that, as a result of the time of day, location, or driver's being in an extreme rush, is not considered by the driver to be mandatory.

Mike knew this STOP sign was Stoptional based on how badly he needed to get home and use the bathroom.
