A small quiet town in Southeastern part of Rhode Island nearby the towns of Narragansett, Coventry, North Kingstown, and Warwick, filled with what you could, say wealthy people. not everyone's wealthy of course, there are townies and there are people, who are just middle-class and live there like me. Always stereotyped as the rich town full of rich house wives who wear Burberry 10,000 dollar shoes, the rich town full of rich, spoiled, unfriendly, elitist brats and people who live there are always called a "walking ATM machine" But remember, not everyone's rich in East Greenwich. Many successful people today started from EG. East Greenwich is the only republican town in Rhode Island.more...
East Greenwich is know for its beautiful bay views, art galleries, and restaurants and is rich in history.
East Greenwich is a pretty safe community and that's one of the reasons why some people choose to live there, even though the house prices are quite expensive, rather than cities like Cranston.
Most East Greenwich students are quite smart and have A+ grades. East Greenwich schools have the highest test scores in the state. Most kids have cell phones and iPods, by the time they reach middle school. And most of the kids wear brand names, such as Abercrombie and Fitch, American eagle, etc. And some of the richer kids wear Lacoste, Juicy Couture, etc. Most people are very preppy.
From my experience, most people in East Greenwich generally tolerate those who they aren't friends w...
A term used maliciously by stuck-up, arrogant, ingnorant jerks from the South and West Sides of Springfield, Illinois to describe their stereotyped veiw of residents of the Northend. Generally, the term is not true. The term stems from the fact that the people on the South and West Sides are GENERALY stuck-up, conceded rich bastards and trust-fund babies (or about as close as they can get in Springfield)and they wish to be-little those that don't have as much money as they do. The reasoning (in my opinion) for this name-calling is because the so-called NEWTS don't seem to care that the Southenders and West Siders are more affluent and well-off financially.
The term NEWT is usually meant to be offensive but many North Enders ussually laugh off or ignore the term, some acctully embrace the term.
There is also a term for West Enders: WEB, or West End Bitch/Bastard
A state in the Midwest region of the U.S. Bordered by Illinois, Kentucky, Ohio and the likes of Michigan. Known as the "Hoosier State," its name is often mistakingly referred to as its largest city of Indianapolis by outsiders from the Midwest (except those from Michigan) who are too stupid to know the difference between Indiana and Indianapolis. It ranks 14th in population with over 6 million residents. It is often stereotyped as a place of rednecks (some believe it to have the most of any midwest state), corn, covered bridges and homes with a basketball hoop adjacent to a gigantic cornfield. The real Indiana, although with a lot of corn ranks #1 in the production of steel (Gary), popcorn, mint, tomatoes, musical instuments, caskets, recreational vehicles (RVs), pharmacueticals and truck bodies. Other important things about Indiana is its love for basketball and auto racing. "Hoosier hysteria" is the term that describes its craze for the sport. The Indy 500 in Indianapolis is the world's largest single-day sporting event. The Brickyard 400, also in Indianapolis is the 2nd largest race in the NASCAR circuit.more...
Indiana's capital and largest city is Indianapolis. It is the 12th largest largest city in the U.S. with 792,000 in its city limits and 1.7 million in the metro area. Indy is not Napt-town anymore. It is in the midst of a huge renneisance and Carmel is perhaps its most well-known suburb, known for its posh setting. No other city in Indiana can come remotely close to...

A genre of rock music
A slang term used to describe a wide range of fashion styles and attitudes somewhat affiliated with emo music
Emo is a genre of rock music. Since its inception, emo has come to describe several independent variations of music, linked loosely but with common ancestry. As such, use of the term has been the subject of much debate. At first, the term 'emo' was used to describe a subgenre of hardcore punk which originated in the Washington, DC music scene of the mid-1980s. In later years, the term 'emocore', short for 'emotional hardcore', was also used to describe the DC scene and some of the regional scenes that spawned from it. The term emo was derived from the fact that, on occasion, members of a band would become spontaneously and strongly emotional during perormances. The most recognizable names of the period included Rites of Spring, Embrace, One Last Wish, Beefeater,Gray Matter, Fire Party, and, slightly later, Moss Icon. The first wave of emo began to fade after the breakups of most of the involved bands in the early 1990s. Starting in the mid-1990s, the term 'emo' began to reflect the indie scene that followed the influenes of Fugazi, which itself was an offshoot of the first wave of emo. Bands including Sunny Day Real Estate and Teas Is The Reason put forth a more indie rock style of emo, more melodic and less chaotic in nature than its predecessor. The so-called 'indie emo' scene survived until the late 199...
A person who works very hard with horses and at the sport of riding horses. A good equestrian is usually a very hardworking person who is completely commited to the sport of riding and the animals(horses/ponies) that he or she rides. Often stereotyped as being snobby and rich the equestrian is usually overlooked as a person who partakes in sports/ physical activity. Equestrians need to have the concentration and ability to judge distance like a golfer, strength and stamina of a hockey player, artistic flow and ability to make a hard thing look easy and beauiful like a gymnest, and and also know where everyone around them is at all times ALL WHILE controlling a 1000lb or more animal with your hands, back, neck, shoulders, thighs, calves, legs, heels, stomach, or basically every bone/muscle in your body with the help of a 5 inch piece of metal. "Riders use their entire bodies to tell their horse what they want them to do; the way they sit, move their hands, the pressure of their legs...dosens of signals pass between horse and rider, at every moment"-Horse Power: The Road To Maclay. To be an equestrian you have to know the sport in and out and be able to work as a team with your animal. A talented equestrian knows her horse as well as she knows her best friend if not better.
Maria is a very talented equestrian, everyday she goes to the barn to ride and work with hers and other peoples horses.
Someone once told me that i wasn't a true equestrian because my parents have money, but trust me when i say that when i get to the barn my horse couldn't care less about how much money i have in the bank
A really awesome town which is frequently stereotyped by people who DON'T EVEN LIVE THERE. I have to admit, some of the high schoolers are spoiled jocks/barbies/bitches who party too much and wear only brand name clothing, but that is only a SMALL PERCENT OF THE STUDENT POPULATION! Most lexingtonians are smart, nice, and are gladly willing to help a lost tourist. Just because we have high property values doesn't make all residents insanely rich. A lot of the people that I'm friends with are smart, friendly, and have a bit of quirkiness in them that makes them extremely lovable. Also, Lexington's a gay friendly town that has various programs on gay/lesbian education. We don't call people "gay", "faggots", "homos", "dick lovers", and other stupid terms like that.
Monica: Oh, I have a friend from Lexington!
Kid from Boston: Are you kidding me? Lexington kids are spoiled preps who play a million sports and buy only brand name things because they think anything else is beneath them. They party way too much, drink, and spend most of their time getting high.
Monica: Have you even been to Lexington, Ma or met someone from Lexington?
Kid from Boston: No...
Strongly anti-Semitic term, although sometimes used intraracially by some Jews, to described disliked Jews within our own community. If you are Jewish, please don't use the term.more...
"Gazaga" is usually used to describe someone crass, vulgar and materialistic who has poor manners and little taste, and seems to exist to attract antisemitism and embarrass the Jewish community. Male "gazagas" are often small in height, hairy (esp. chest and back), sexually lewd, and socially belligerent (e.g., snipped, rude, curt tone on the phone, pushy in bus and other lines, aggressive in traffic, and often overtly racist and sexist).
Many work in the entertainment industry. Steve Lawrence in "The Blues Brothers" was cinematic depiction of a gazaga. The rude nature of the movie business is due to its being overrun not by compassionate, normal Jews, but our vicious black sheep cousin the gazaga.
Female "gazagas" are thought to be unattractive, mannish, aggressive, and undesirable. Like their male counterparts, they are pushy, crude, and mannerless, but carry additional dislikable behaviors such as a whiny Bronx-or-New Jersey accented voice, a frequently pinched, wrinkled-nosed expression (as if smelling something bad), loud speech and laughter in public, and manipulative, vengeful attitudes.
Most Jewish men unfairly and unaccurately stereotype all Jewish women as gazagas in order to feel better about dating and marrying Gentile women.
Both genders of gazagas are often seen i...
