1. Unit X
Unix X (often called EGX) is a server on the kaillera network, specializing in games of Super Smash Brothers 64. This game is played using an emulator for the Nintendo 64 platform that is compatible with kaillera (common clients include Project64K and less often, Mupen64K, where the K stands for kaillera. Basically, 1 user “hosts” their game (or rom image, in this case), and waits for other players to join his or her room. While other games and systems can and are hosted, Super Smash Bros 64 is overwhelmingly popular here.

The server interface (which is arguably the same with every other server on kaillera despite a few nuances) consists of a main chat column, a user list that displays who’s playing a game and who’s idle, and a room list (made up of any games, chats, and “away” rooms that are currently hosted) The individual rooms also have private chat columns.

The community is made up of Bots, Admins, and Users with nonstatic usernames who are identified only by their IP address. This method of identification can only be described as clumsy and insecure, as anyone can impersonate any other p...

2. prodevelostage
a single software development environment where your project's production, stage and development environments are all one in the same
Our budget for this project is too low so we will have to deploy to a prodevelostage environment.
3. op kiddie
Similar to a script kiddie in principle, except op kiddies run websites (or perhaps more commonly, forums) poorly as opposed to perpetrating hack/crack attempts poorly.

Like their script kiddie counterparts, op kiddies are typically young and male, with little grasp of spelling, grammar, common sense or server management. Their sites are normally quite barren activity-wise for several reasons:

a) They don't manage them well enough to attract many (if any) regular members.
b) They are often hacked due to the op kiddie's failure to keep up to date with applicable software patches, or just general naivety when it comes to security. Successful hack attempts can result in total data loss, which isn't likely to make any pre-existing members want to stick around. Of course, the op kiddie won't have made backups at any stage, either, so unlike competent webmasters, they are usually unable to simply restore things to how they were.
c) The idea or theme behind the site is unoriginal or poorly thought out. Quite often, the op kiddie will simply create a "general discussion" forum which in fact has no main theme at all, then advertise it somewhere in a manner along the lines of "comme 2 my genral fourm takl abuot aynthign!!111". Naturally, they will be unaware of the existence of, say, offtopic.com.
d) The op kiddie keeps breaking things on the site and disrupting service to the users, which is a sure-fire way to make people vote...

4. TWAR
An @reply Twitter war.

Origins:
In the early morning of April 14, 2009, NKOTB member Jonathan Knight (@JonathanRKnight) challenged Joey McIntyre (@joeymcintyre) to an @reply war.

Jonathan Knight tweeted to his fans during a break in the middle of the concert. Donnie Wahlberg (@DonnieWahlberg) did the same.

When the concert was over, the smack talk began with Joey saying "While Jon was smokin' on the bus I was smokin' on stage."

Jonathan soon replied "Joe was smoking cause his fire went out!"

The smack talk continued until Jonathan playfully teased Joey by saying, "Lets battle it out tomorrow on tweetstats! May the best man win!"

Jonathan dubbed the war a "TWAR":
"Good one Joe But I love you too much for our epic twitter war! I see the headlines now, NK's go to TWAR! Not gonna happen!"

At 1 am PST, when TweetStats.com reset, the war was on. Joey was in the lead at almost 2k @replies within two hours. Not long after TweetStats.com crashed.

Alas, we may never know the winner of the TWAR but we have had fun playing. The only person(s) who has suffered because of this incident would be those that manage the TweetStats site and their server. Poor thing was burned up with all the activity.

Disclaimer: This was all in fun and in no way reflects any disharmony within the group because there is none.

5. MafBot
A multi-server IRC game bot, it's current main channel and server is #Mafiabot on Rizon (irc.gamepad.ca). It is quite a simple game, which people make it sound complicated because they're too dumb to read the topic, the message they get from the bot on joining, and a mass failure to read the pm's from the bot, and listen to the older players of the game, too help them out.

It also relays messages from each server, like this:

<~MafBot> Stewie(Sw): no
<~MafBot> Stewie(Sw): family reuinion lol

"Stewie" was talking on SwiftIRC (You can tell via the tag).

The bot is kinda laggy if it isn't allowed to have flood protection, which is why it now primarily functions on Rizon, than Swift, because it has flood protection on Rizon, while not on Swift, It's a good addictive game with some nice people, although, if a certain person becomes jealous of you, he will endlessly kill you, everytime he gets a killing role, to the stage where he kills you so much, you can't actually play when he registers into the next game.
MafBot really could be a good irc game if sad losers didn't pathetically grudge people for 2+ months straight.
6. SW_elite
Famous and extremely popular Star Wars Battlefront II player. He exhibits a wide array of high quality skills which include the ability to tea bag another player from the other side of the map. He has created one of the first server side mods which added the new 'King of the Hill' mode into the game without the need for clients to download and install any file(s). Along with that he created the first "Death Match' style mode for the game. Whilst playing on his favorite server, 'SWBF2 -AUS-' he makes good use of the words 'noob' and 'Nub Cake'. This two words along are what made SW_elite what he is today. He is the proud leader of the 'EAG' clan which now supports 6 different games and has managed to congregate one of the highest quality teams in all of Australia. Was at one stage the highest ranked player according to the flawed ranking system that we call "GameTracker". These days he is rusty because he has better things to do than play a dead game.
