The show is also appealing to teenagers and adults because of the inside jokes that only they would understand and catch, its can in a minor way relate to the older audience in some way, the not-so-bright best-friend Patrick, and he stupid things he does, usually with patrick and/or squidward, the depressed, boring, Mr. Downside neighbor. SpongeBob: (after waking up from a bad dream with every main charater) Ah!
