(n. or v.) to tear the filter off of a cigarette and give it to someone; to smoke a cigarette with no filter; a fairly inefficient way to smoke, considering that the tobacco will get lodged in one's teeth, and his or her tongue will burn; to rip someone off. Softbank Hawks 

A Japanese baseball team capable of beating (dominating?) a Major League team on any given day. Certainly capable of dominating every team in the Japanese League, especially Hanshin.

Example: Softbank Hawks are the best team in Japan, possibly the world.

Hanshin fan: Hey, the Hawks suck.
Hawks fan: Well, explain to me how we came back from 3-2 down to beat your team to the Championship in 2003.
Hanshin fan: ......
Hawks fan: Yeah. QED, motherfucker.

As opposed to the bikepacker, the softpacker makes as much use as possible of wild swimming opportunities, four poster beds, baths, restaurants (bonus points for Michelin stars) fine ales, finer wines and speciality coffee outlets, with commensurately less kit carried and commensurately fewer hours ridden.
