snarkenfreude means not only do you enjoy someone else's suffering or mishaps but you quip--usually within the sufferer's earshot--snide comments at their expense. "But Mr. Vice-President," asked the reporter, unable to dampen his snarkenfreude, "doesn't a pace maker require the presence of an actual heart?"
