An establishment that clandestinely allows smoking on its premises in cities (or states) that otherwise prohibit smoking indoors. Similar to the speakeasy, which allowed alcoholic beverages to be consumed during the Prohibition Era.

Similar to a speakeasy of the 1920s prohibition era, a smokeasy is a restaurant or bar establishment that allows indoor smoking in spite of smoking bans.
Joe: Man, I wish we could still smoke in bars.
Bob: Yeah? You should come to this bar I know. They'll let you.
Joe: Really?
Bob: Yeah. After 10 on weeknights. It's a smokeasy.
