1. Ska-hippie
A term for a person who is neither Ska, nor Hippie. This term describes someone from the early to mid 90's, or at least someone whose fashion reflects that of the early to mid 90's.

Things that a ska-hippie would wear/have:
*Yin-Yang anything.
*hacky sacks
*stupid hats
*clothes that are too big
*sunglasses that are tinted or too small for your face
*DENIM VESTS or DENIM SHIRTS
*men wearing cut offs.
***This is really a rotating definition, many things can be added...

"Look at that stupid ska-hippie playing hackey sack in the snow!"

It can also be used out of context, as an insult only, such as:

"Why are you being such as ska-hippie?"
2. Ska-hippie

3. Rudy
Nickname for a rude-boy, in other words, a fan of ska music who is also part of the scene, goes to ska shows, dances at them, and maybe even plays in a ska band. Listens to bands such as The Specials and hails The Clash.

Today's Rudies may listen to bands such as Propaghandi or Me First And The Gimme Gimmes, or to those that have more punk-ish aspects, such as Rancid. Some remain traditionalists.
Somebody who listens to punk, is D.I.Y., goes to punk shows and generally does punk stuff is (probably) a punk.

Somebody who wears hemp clothes, wants to go back in time to Woodstock Festival of '69, is all for free love and listens to The Doors is (probably) a hippie.

Somebody who listens to ska, is strongly opposed to racism, goes to ska shows and dances at them, likes tambourines and reggae is (probably) a rude boy - Rudy.
4. counter-culture
a counter culture is not a culture that is different from the main culture. its not emo, ska, hippie. those are called sub culture. COUNTER CULTURE is a culture that opposes the main culture and the main culture opposes it. this would include gangs, kkk, skinheads, etc.. By studying countercultures we can see what flaws we have in real culture.
Drug dealers choose to live in a counter-culture because that is what they know.
5. skahoy
mash up of the words, ska (noun ~ form of disgusting feral hippie music merged with crap 90's punk rock and tons of brass) and ahoy (noun ~ smelly hippie or rasta term of greeting, usually followed by the bashing of fists)
