The term 'singnosongian' is an adjective which refers to an individual engaged in, or expressing characteristics of 'singnosong' - a person who is highly self-contradictory, and dislikes being reminded of this. These individuals often contradict previously made statements as circumstances change, however nonetheless, are referred to as 'singnosongians'.

This term was derived from 'The Gang', a Sydney-based group of defiant, socially unacceptable individuals. Since then, it is beginning to gain popularity across the country, and in Canada.
