Many people people have identified with retelling of tragedy, struggle, violence, death, poverty, racism, revolution, and overall the imperfections of society. He seemed to captivate millions with lyrics and poetry so believe to be so inspiring that few could compare. Unlike the popular and mostly ignorant thoughts projected by society, Tupac was very intelligent educated and at the age 17 had most likely read more books than the average first year Ivy league student. Many people wish to critize his works however usually have not read or tooken the time analyze some his greatest works. Tupac's short and climatic life is usually summerized and rarely deeply considered. He was an adovate for the entire poetic nature of a generation, however the violent aspect of his music is usually magnified and the poetic nature was understated. People only seen the drugs and ghettos and never the pain and deep emotion. Lesser rapper took Tupac's unique and very influnecial syle of rap and some tranformed it it into a chain of destructive and short lived rap careers that would come to shame all that Tupac represented. Emo is a subdivision of Goth, (which itself is a subdivision of Punk) and can usually be seen wearing tight clothing, itchy wool scarves (no matter how hot it is) black-and-white striped sweaters and hair that covers 3/5 of the face. There are four main categories of emo:

Emo Emo
These kids are the classic stereotype. Usually listens to (or writes) crappy music and writes even crappier poetry (these songs are usually about getting dumped, death or something else melancholy). Practices self-mutilation (the cutting of oneself) and is dismal as hell. The best way to deal with these emos is to either get them professional help or get them some sort of anti-depressant

Soap Opera Emo
Emos that over react to everything. they don't get happy, they get estatic. they dont get sad, they get suicidal. In short, these emos are huge drama king, (or as they put it "Extreamly Emotional") and are okay people but can get realy anoying.

Happy Emo
An Emo who likes to listen to emo music and dresses like an emo but doesn’t cut himself or cry about everything. They are perfectly happy human beings like you or me but still enjoy MCR, Fallout boy and other emo CDs of the sort.

Fakemo
Even other emos can’t tolerate these fucktards. They do everything an Emo does but have no real problems whatsoever. They simply do all this to A) Be accepted by other emos (why they’d want to, I can’t imagine why) B) To get negative attention or C) to scare the crap out of their parents.

Okay, I've read through these stupid definitions on here for emo, and they're all WRONG.

I am an emo, so I figured this would be the best way for you numbskulls to get it through your minds. "Emo" IS short for "emotional". To be emo, you have to listen to the music, i.e. My Chemical Romance, Aiden, Underoath, etc, etc wear the clothes, i.e. skinny jeans, studs, etc, etc and have the personality. Now, personality is the biggie here. An emo personality is not always depressing, oh, and hint hint, EMO'S. DO. NOT. HAVE. TO. CUT. Emo's do, however, need to be a bit shy, poetic, and generally pretty intelligent. Emo's are also usually very, very nice people. Most of them, now I say most, not all, understand hurt. Generally emo's are shunned from society, but they're always willing to talk to someone. Emo's are sensitive, and only want their thoughts to be heard. Emo's do not always cut, are not always depressed, don't wear just black, and aren't freaks. They're people.
