"Scene" is a sort of subgenre, a mixture of emo and preppy. You can usually spot a scene kid from miles away by their bright, attractive eyeliner/hair colors. Scene boys and scene girls both wear tight girl jeans; usually of the drainpipe variety. Scene girls are often found in attractively arranged if not totally random outfits, which consist of tight jeans, cute tee shirts or thermals with things like hello kitty, the teenage mutant ninja turtles, or power rangers on them. Vans slip ons, usually checkered, make up the majority of their footwear, as well as ballet flats, and just plain flats. Occasionally, wedges, too. Their outfits vary from person to person; vintage sweaters and vests are also popular, as well as tight, gray or black zip up hoodies. And band tee shirts are a must, mostly for metal bands, however, with incomprehensible writing on them and some drawing of a person being eviscerated, and the like. White studded belts are also popular. They also wear large, chunky necklaces, pearls, et cetera.

For boys, it's pretty much the same, however, instead of flats, they're inclined to wear skate shoes, and large "gangster" hats are popular as well. Both genders tend to have lots of piercings, such as a septum, monroe, and the less popular septum. Mostly, they've got a piercing on one side of their lip, and gauges in their ears. Scene boys hair is more often a plain color, such as black or red or brown, as opposed to the myriad of colors that girls can covet. Both... |

These days, anything can be classified as "scene". Scene kids often get called emo or posers. Most scene kids tend to hang out in the city with their other scene friends. Most scene kids have myspace, and have myspace fame from it. A lot of them get noticed by others from myspace. Scene kids with a lot of friends tend to be better looking and can get away with wearing anything. Most scene boys wear tight skinny jeans, of any colour with t shirts, usually of local screamo bands. Scene girls wear clothes that don't match, but they still look good. They like to wear a log of leggings and bows in their hair. They like to have cute little childish t shirts as well. Scene kids hair is usually cut by themselves, or a very expensive hair dresser. Most of the time, their hair will be black with sometimes patches of neon colours. Usually, if their hair is not black, it's bleached to the palest colour you could possibly get.

Scene girls never leave the house without make up and wear a lot of eye makeup. Piercings are another big thing with scene kids. A lot of them have their septums and snakebites done. Scene boys sometimes have very small stretchers in their ears. Scene kids like to hang out at the shops and at gigs and concerts. They hang out in large groups of at least 7 or something. A lot of scene kids have Jeffree Star, Hello Kitty and Oliver Sykes on their pro... |

LET'S JUST MAKE IT CLEAR THAT I'M NOT WITH OR AGAINST THIS KIND OF PEOPLE. Typical scene kid * has over 5000 friends on myspace. * tries not to fix their myspace page too much, to make it sound like they don't give a shit about it. * they constantly say they have a life outside of myspace. * their myspace urls include words like: drug, killer, phsycho, millionaire, malice, gore, vanity, miss, massacre, panic, doll, brutal, terror, etc; including a trademark next to it. * They join a gazillion trains, to get as many scene friends as possible. * Most of them are vegan and are members of PETA. * They use extensions and dye their hair of different colors just to seem cool. they dye it not only of a rainbow color, they can have their hair cover... |

Scene is a fashion sence that many people make fun of because it was derrived from the emo culture.
We in fact are NOT NOT NOTTT emo, at all, but beauty whores who enjoy having their hair cut in a certain fashion and like dressing a certain way like straight legged jeans, band tshirts, etc. Also we love the idea of body piercings and tattoos. Alot of scene kids have their lip pierced. Also, they refer to themselves as "hard core" also shown as the symbol "HxC". Many scene girls me being one love putting bows in their hair and love wearing big sunglasses. Also a popular thing with scene girls is to wear cute "baby doll" tops with cute prints such as cupcakes, cherries, etc. Many scene girls I have seen seem to like the horizontal "racoon" stripes in parts of thier hair. Also, fake eyelashes are a big thing. Scene boys on the other hand have the emo boy hair cut, with more flair, and most are either gay or bi because no straight guy is obsessed with fashion that much. As far as what they seem to wear, i have seen many with band t's or hoodies. Oh, and tight jeans with plenty of makeup such as eyeliner, eye shadow, fake eye lashes, etc. Jeffree Star is the best example of a true scene kid even tho he may not say so.

they usually have a couple of thousand friends on myspace. and know everyone who is in the "scene" in their hometown. "the scene" is usually based in the home city, and some of the ranks are "new scene" "old scene" and other names of that nature. people who are "new scene" have only recently started coming to town, and will usually be treated like they are no-one. because in the scene, the ones who have been there the longest will always rule. scene kids usually go to gigs everyweekend, and drink goon quite a bit. they will wag school just to come to town everyday. and not care about anything other than how many friends and "scene points" they have. they wear tight jeans, and tight band shirts. jackets with fur on the edge of the hood, or band hoodies. eyeliner is suitable for both girls and boys. they will either have sholder length hair spiked up at the back, or the girls will have hair extensions at the bottom of their hair. Hair colour is usually black, brown or blonde. straightening their hair is a must. there is not just one type of "scene kid" there are many here are a few: The vegetarian scene kid: is vegetarian and gets drunk everyweekend. they dont care much for anything other than scene points and goon. The straightedge hardcore: doesnt drink, smoke or do drugs. has a shaven head, and spends all his centrelink money on gigs. thinks they are not scene because they dont hang with t... |

scene boys: -Tight pants or 3/4 pants (3/4's mostly camo) -Likes techno and rap but also likes genres like screamo, hardcore and grindcore. -theres many different hair styles: spiked at the back and long fringe flat hair, big fringe Box/block fringe (straight across eyesbrows or eyes.) longer at the sides. -has myspace, doesnt always have thousands of friends, but those who do join myspace trains (aesthetic perfection is popular these days) -arent always gay or bisexual, some of them dislike gays/lesbians. -hxc scene kids have many piercings, mostly septum, bridge and snakebites. -Bring me the horizon, hadouken!, Jeffree star ectt = scene bands. -wears nikes, vans or sometimes converse. -Indie, emo and scene are all very similiar. -talks in text language. e.g: lol, lmfao, rofl, pmsl, wtf, omg ecttt -kid scene kids get drunk on parks, fields, anywhere secluded. or if they're older they'll have got bored of drinking and get stoned instead. -sometimes hate Fall out boy and mcr. -Paramore are gathering a lot of scene fans. everyone is individual in their own ways, even if they do all wear extensions, dye their hair many colours, wear tight jeans and wear eyeliner. even though scene, emo and indie are kind of the same, scene kids and indie kids seem to retaliate towards abuse, whereas emos keep themselves to themselves. |
