The most intense level of fucked up that a person can get; when a person is so savage that he/she goes beast mode on everything in sight.

-Did you see Josh last night? He punched the wall and was threatening everyone.

A combination of 'ref' and 'effed up'. The act of getting "geared up" for an assignment, as in purchasing and/or putting on premium referee accessories.
