Robespierre coming down the mountain 

When you realize someone you had respected has lost their mind you would refer to them as "Robespierre coming down the mountain" in reference to Robespierre's Cult of the Supreme Being festival in which he appeared at the top of a 'paper mache' mountain constructed in the center of Paris in a toga and decended to give a speech. Many saw this as proof that he thought he was more than human and had lost touch with reality.

to pull a Robespierre 

Robespierre was an important figure during the French Revolution and when the consul decided to put him to the guillotine he tried to commit suicide.

Instead of shooting himself through the jaw he shot off his jaw and was unsuccessful in killing himself, but he was still put to the guillotine.

To pull a Robespierre is the act of successfully trying to kill oneself esp. attempted shootings through the skull (by holding a gun under ones jaw), but turning out unsuccessful and shooting off ones jaw

how to pull a Robespierre:
Get a gun
put it to your jaw like a gangsta (making sure the gun will only shoot off your jaw)
Shoot
* Now you have successfully pulled a Robespierre

Father of the French Revolution, daddy of the revolutionaries. Only wanted to make the gorgeous Republic of Virtue; it's the filthy counterrevolutionaries that ruined everything. Cut off heads & stole hearts. Died when his fake friends turned on him all because he revealed them to be the filthy counterrevolutionaries that they were. A hero, an icon and someone to look up to.
