The red pill is also a popular reddit page dedicated to sexual market theories that feminism and the feminist mindset is an evolutionary, unconscious movement geared towards empowering women to the point where they have total control over men. Interactions will feel forced and awkward like a cousin that hits on you. Topics tend to stay in a narrow range of what they believe men and women are attracted to and will rarely stray. Topics include: lifting, their car, their income, their job, and they have no problems telling women what women are thinking (even as women are backing away slowly). All successes are likely exaggerated, and when out of options, they will just bring up the accomplishments of others who are men and attribute those accomplishments to manliness in an attempt to feel like they have something over other large groups of the population.

Med who "take the red pill" (a dated reference to the matrix) are also identified as pick-up artists. Their stated goals include "self improvement" and getting laid by building a "harem". Believing strongly that they are entitled to sex and women are denying it out of spite. Other fundamental aspect of their teachings are that women are unable to be independent beings, while men are superior in almost every way. They believe that women are only attracted to alpha males. Beta males are men who show care and respect towards women. The Red Pill condones lying, manipulation, date rape, and emotional abuse in order to achieve their goal of having lots of casual sex. An attitude of contempt of women and any man who isn't an "alpha" is universal throughout the community. Perhaps the reason these men seek out this community is rooted in poor relationships with women and perceived failure in the dating world. The community spreads though misinformation and brainwashing. A logical, if extreme, result of the prevailing rape culture in the US.
