To express rah on a computer via maybe a chat forum or an internet messenger service is to indicate an hysterical laugh, one where ones ribs are physically hurting, hence RAH.

Rah
Noun. Refers to a social 'type' among young people, often at while at university or school. Depending on the environment this term can have varying degrees of intensity.

Generally, it is used when refering to someone who posseses or aspires (painfully) to the stereotypical characteristics of what is seen as a higher social class (in the traditional, fixed sense).

For example, in a wealthy public school a rah may have to envoke an image of old aristocracy and do so in a pompous and superior manner - usually demonstrated in an expensive, flamboyant lifestyle and often loudly declared opinion.

Whereas in an enivronment where there is fewer generally exuberant lifestyles an individual could be termed a rah simply for being obviously more asperational or often just wealthy in itself.

Has many connotations of succeeding only as a result of old boy networks and from being fully supported by parents.
Withnail is perhaps a rah in the asperational sense.

Sebastian of Bridehead Revisited could be described as a rah.

Rah
A rah is stereotypically a privately educated, or what appears to be a privately educated female living in the UK. They are normally seen sporting Jack Wills, Abercrombie & Fitch, big messy hair, and uggs. The majority of "rahs" attend universitys and live a party lifestyle, and are often the cliche "popular" set. Opinions split on rahs, some people think they are pretty bastards that live off Daddy's money, and the other half admire them for their style that is often replicated.

Rahs, are the posh rich kids of Britain. Usually wearing Jack Wills, Abercrombie and Fitch or other expensive high street designer brands. Rahs hate chavs and commoners, and attend private school. They rely on Mummy or Daddy to buy everything, and live in the more upmarket areas of certain Counties and towns. Rahs like to show off their money and are commonly labelled as 'snobs'. They are hated by those who are 'jealous' (or as the Rahs think so) because they have more money. Those who hate Rahs, usually hate them because they show off their money, and are spoilt rich kids, which is true, but doesn't necessarily mean they're all bitches and douche bags. Rahs are often very pretty and have great hair, worn back combed, big, thick and messy.
Rah2: I haven't passed it yet, no, but me and Rupert are going to practise around the manner later!

Rah1: *gasps* Sounds wonderful, I hope you two get together soon! See you at Meme's!

Rah2: See you later darling!
