| 1. | less than jake | ||
As far as I've heard so far, they're a good ska band. One of their songs (which I'm mentioning just for the title) "Johnny Quest Thinks We're Sellouts". The first time I heard Less Than Jake was on Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 4 - "All My Best Friends Are Metalheads". At the time I didn't know it was ska and after going to Cornerstone Festival 2003 now love ska! Ska is the shit!

| 2. | Eyes Set To Kill | ||
"Eyes Set to Kill began in 2004 as a three-piece band from Phoenix, AZ, seeking a unique sound that would combine the soft, melodic feel of female vocals and gut-wrenching screaming, backed up by powerful instrumentals with a post-hardcore influence. Alexia Rodriguez (Lead Guitar, Vocals), Anissa Rodriguez (Bass Guitar), and Lindsey Vogt (Lead Vocals), searched the local area for talented and dedicated musicians to create this sound and aid them in their quest to make a name for themselves amongst the many other talented bands coming out of Arizona. To their utter dismay, they were frequently ignored and turned down by sexist musicians, despite their obvious talent and potential. The girls were classified, stereotyped, and rejected by the ignorant music scene before their demo was given a mere listen. However, after struggling to be heard for what seemed an eternity, the girls found their guys in mid-2005. Despite sharing the stage with several signed and unsigned artists, including Chiodos, Bless the Fall, Goodbye Tomorrow, My American Heart, and Greeley Estates, this initial combination was only temporary, and over the next several months, the band continued to undergo changes in their musical lineup. Finally, in early 2006, three young gentlemen came into the picture to produce the uniquely refreshing, new and improved version of Eyes Set to Kill. Greg Kerwin, (Guitar), Brandon Anderson (Vocals), and Caleb Clifton(Drums) joined the girls without hesitation. The band str... more...

| 3. | green journalism | ||
This term is a criticism of modern journalism. It references to "yellow journalism" - a term used for the sensationalistic journalism during the turn of the 20th century. The green refers to money and the greed of the industry and/or the pro-environmental bias. Often as sensationalistic as its yellow predecessor, green journalism tends to appeal to our emotions, exploit our fears, and pander to our vanity. It places a political agenda in front of the quest for journalistic truth and in its most demagogic forms tolerates no criticism, branding all who question it as enemies of the people.

| 5. | bored of studies | ||
A virtual haven for geeks titularly claiming to be 'bored' of studies despite being incapable of nothing but talking about it, sometimes even years after leaving highschool. Some even consider the site a means of recreation (as opposed to pro-creation). Felix: Hey Urkle, *draws breath from puffer* we should.. *wipes glasses* make a website devoted to resources for students in year 12.
Urkle: Great idea, what should we... *wipes pimple ridden nose* what should we call it? Felix: How about 'bored of studies', but spelt 'B.O.R.E.D' our chemistry teacher would get a laugh out of that name, even though we're blatantly contradicting our sex deprived selves. Urkle: Yeah, even Miss Miller would find that name somewhat humerous. We have such a shameless, dry sense of humour; but I'll do anything to boost our assignment marks *ejaculates into Math Quest textbook* |
