1. Rebel Flag
I hear peoples opinions and read on the internet of the people who are so quick to judge and assume that they know what they are talking about when it comes to the rebel flag, when infact most people are close-minded. I am not going to sit here and say that most of the confederates back in the civil war did not want to keep slaves when infact most of them did, but the war was mostly over government and money, yes we did have alot of slaves that signed up to fight on our side and they gave their lives just as much as the whites did. I really hate prejudice people. To me the Flag represents alot of things and slavery is NOT one of them. I am very proud to wave my flag and I am also proud to say that I have 2 beautiful mixed children from a black man, does that mean that I have no right to wave it? I was born on July 4th, 1976 and I can remember being told time and time again that my birthday was very important and to see the flag wave was a beautiful site. To me the rebel flag reminds me of where our nation has been and what we have done. I never hear people saying anything about the north it is always about the south. I love being from the south and I carry my head high with pride and honor knowing that I am southern. I don't feel that anyone has the right to judge anyone no matter where they are from and who they are, apparently Lincoln thought we were good enough to be one instead of two so he made it be, so I guess to some he was wrong, but to me he is one of my heros an...

4. rebel flag
The rebel flag is a proud flag. And does not mean the same for every one. If you must think of it as raceism then go ahead, you have the right to your opion. But dont think for a minute that the civil war was fought over slavery, it wasn't. It was fought over government, the government of states that did not want to be governed. The REBEL FLAG is red and white, not black and white, so lets leave race out of it.
africans sold their own people into slavery, and blamed the rebel flag

6. Puerto Rican Flag
Did you know that the original design used a sky blue tone of the triangle in the Puerto Rican flag? But when the flag was adopted officially by the Commonwealth in 1952 it featured a dark blue very similar to that of the US flag. This fact has raised many issues whether to use a sky blue tone or a dark blue tone in the flag. Recently, with the celebration of the flag's 100 anniversary in 1995 the current administration displayed a flag with the original sky blue tone. Some historians concluded that the reason why a dark blue was used in the 1952 flag was related to the origins of the flag and its relationship with a revolutionary independence movement.
"I love my beautiful Puerto Rican Flag! It's Puerto Rico's pride and joy!"
7. Rebel Flag
The Confederate states of America's Version of the Saint Andrews cross. Also seen in the national flag of Scottland and England. Although often thought to be a racist symbol, a deeper look into the origins of it will prove other wise. Seen as a sign of pride for one herritage and location. The CSA were knows as rebels during this period, hince the "Rebel Flag"
Do some damn research before you call something racist. Less then 1% of White southerners use the REBEL FLAG as a symbol of racism. So calling it racist would be like saying all that since blacks are the majority in jails, this means they commit more crimes then others.
