| 1. | pleut | ||
|
A shortening of the French phrase, 'il pleut' meaning 'it is raining'. Pronounced 'pluh'.
It can be used:- 1. In place of the word rain. 2. As a verb, often used to describe a sad, bored, or generally negative state - although it can sometimes hold absolutely no meaning, and just be a pointless comment. 1. "Oh look, pleut clouds. Where did they come from?"
2. "You're pleuting."/"Hana pleut." |
