1. A Person who loves a particular game console soo much he will argue extensively the dominance of the particular game console with out the correct information. Generally a pale faced young teenage boy who is frustrated over the fact that his friend has a better console than himself.

2. A person who preferes game consoles over PC's. Again usually a pale faced frustrated young teenage boy who cant afford a decent PC.

A fanboy is any person who is the unthinking pawn of a major label/brand. A fanboy is just about the most annoying creature on earth, particularly in the heated debate of Mac vs. PC or in the realm of politics. They tend to be really irrational, and unwilling to look at both sides of the debate: repeating things by rote and being completely partisan. Also, the typical fanboy is totally uninformed and biased to a precedent, hence the repetition of rote sayings or facts/myths.

1. Somone who denies an existance of something better then a Sony product. Often bashes Microsoft for being a monopoly when Sony is the same thing in Japan. Says that any game on PS2 is better then when ported to a diffrent console or from one.

2. Somone who thinks that special features should ONLY be on Sony products.

3. A deluded person who thinks that a Sony product is more powerful or better then a new PC or Xbox or Gamecube.

A word used in conjuction with the word console as to describe the speakers discust of console gaming. Usually used when the speaker is primarilly concerned with PC gaming and the speaker could be considered a PC fanboy.

A fanboy who plays only console video games. The only PC games they'll touch are free (and often terrible) ones, such as Gunbound, Runescape, or Kings of Chaos/Outwar.

The console fanboy is bitter towards anyone who prefers PC gaming, as their chugging, ten year old 486 running Windows 95 with a dialup connection is so completely obsolete that they can barely load their internet browser, let alone play a game.

Tries to back up their crippling lack of technology by denouncing the keyboard/mouse setup as "too hard to use" or lamenting that online PC gaming lacks some kind of close social aspect that only being in the same room can apparently provide (never mind the presence of voice chat or the LAN party).

The console fanboy can often be made to see the error of their ways as long as a slight amount of force is used.

In addition to the standard definition, a 'Hermit' is a slang term for a PC afficionado. This definition is mainly used on the System Wars forum of Gamespot.

a person willing to defend and promote the object of his affection regardless of fact and objectivity. This encompasses everything from technological items like PC's and game consoles to gearheads and fishing fanatics.
