Asian parents are not your typical white or any other race parents.. Here are the diffrences that make us asian teenagers more depressed then other people(this concerns 90% of the asians that are living in Canada or U.S)
1)We DO NOT get allowance

2)We DO NOT get to stay up till past 10pm supposivly due to affecting our grades

3)The only thing that our parents make for dinner is RICE AND FISH, RICE AND FRIED CHICKEN, RICE SOUP FRIED FISH, RICE MONGO FISH.

4)If you get below a B then they take something you love or like to do away from you until you get back up in next semester

5)THEY HIT US, mom bitch slaps, Dad throws you against wall or gets the belt and whips you until you start crying.

6)They CONTROL your life.. Your personality, what you believe in, your appearance.. and if you refuse what they tell you to do, they will take your computer away and ruin MY FUCKIN GAMING CAREER CAS IM ONLY ALLOWED 6 HOURS A DAY AND they didnt let me go to Dallas Texas which was $400 for plane that i was able to pay for myself that cud of ended up with 7 grand and it was during the summer break FFS >_< ...... I wanted to be a pro gamer, or a garbage man, not a fuckin doctor!! im too lazy and dumb to be a doctor so stop telling me i have to be a godamn doctor.. I WISH I HAD WHITE PARENTS GODAMIT!!

Definition of the the house one truly considers home.
Often determined by current residence of living parents.

A person between aged 20-30 who is living in their parents house when they are old enough to live in his own apartment. I derived the term from the word "house-wife." A house-wife lives at home and spends her husband's money on silly things like clothes and jewelery. Likewise, a house-child (or house-daughter in this case) lives for free and spends her father's money on the same things.

A house-child, by definition, must be:
1) old enough to be a house-wife
2) unemployed
3) have lived away from the house for a period of time (i.e. college, grad school) and is now coming back to the house just when her parents thought they were finally rid of her!!
4) so busy house-childing that she frequently requests an assistant.
5) too old to live at home. Someone who is of normal age to live at home (i.e. a high-school student) cannot be a house-child.

Note: house-childing is becoming an increasingly popular activity given that most people in their 20s can no longer afford rent due to the current economic downturn

Parents usually refers to the man and woman who had sex and created you! Sometimes children who are raised in foster home for example might call their foster parents their parents anyway, even if they are not related by blood, and some consider relatives they live with (like aunts or grandparents) to be the centre of the parental role.
After reading most of the definitions on here, I came to the conclusion that many of the authors are most likely teenagers, as it is common that during the teenage years a child's parents will want them to obey their rules, be home by the time they specify, do your homework, etc, and the teen will want to obey their own rules, for now that they are older they can do more things on their own, and do not require supervision, assistance, or guidance, or so they think.

Now, think about this....

Are your parents really so bad? Are they really "nazi fascists" whose sole purpose in life is to make your existence miserable? Sure, they have their own expectations and longings for you, and set rules and boundaries for you, but do they not provide you with a home, clothing, food, education, and a watchful eye as you grow into a young adult? Before I go on I will say that I know parents are not always the best at their job, and there are some who don't do it at all...
