| 2. | Medicated Drone | ||
|
A person under the influence of prescription pain medication whose personality and emotions completely disappear. This person will act like a shell of a human being that is being controlled from a remote location (i.e. a drone). Mike: What was wrong with Brian last night? He didn't seem like his normal self.
John: It must be because he's taking some really strong pain medication for his back. Mike: Well that explains why he was acting like a medicated drone. |

| 4. | mutant | ||
|
An opiate-based pain medication abuser or junkie who is noticeably high in public, an opioid addict who doesn't care how they are perceived in public, a heroin or opioid abuser who is seen attempting to go about their day in public but is so high that everyone around them knows they are very high. Signs to look for-dilated pupils, slow movements, disheveled hair, dirty clothing, speech is incoherent, and the person may slobber or drool. DO NOT CONFUSE WITH A HOMELESS PERSON. A mutant IS NOT a recreational drug abuser/social drug user. A mutant may appear like a zombie stumbling about until they finally pass out for one of their frequent naps. "Look at that line of mutants outside the pain clinic. Man every one of them is shaking from withdrawl and they look like they haven't showered in a week".

| 5. | oxycontin | ||

PRONUNCIATION CORRECTION:
more...
AWK-SEE-CON-TON A legitimate opiate pain medication intended only to alleviate moderate to severe intractable pain under the supervision of a physician for documented conditions. It is dangerous and against the law not to mention better judgement and common sense to pursue any other use. To imply that oxycontin or any narcotic analgesic should be taken with alchohol or taken in crushed form is quite wrong, not to mention stupid and DEADLY. Oxycontin relieves severe nerve pain and other moderate to severe pain in those who REQUIRE IT, by slightly depressing the central nervous system- thus someone not initiated in opiate therapy (as in someone who is not prescribed this medicine or whom takes it against package instructions and doctors orders) is putting their lives at risk by getting 12 hours worth of medicine all at once, thus excessively depressing their central nervous systems and ceasing the breathing mechanism, slowing heart/pulse rate, DUH...Oxycontin is not intended as a 'high' for anyone, but as a PRESCRIBED, TAKEN AS DIRECTED pain relief medicine for those in pain PERIOD. In this capacity it can save lives. It is also a controlled substance under the law, because of the fools who believe it's intended for getting stoned. It's certainly hoped the erroneous definitions dissapear- any comparison to heroin is irrelevant(although heroin is also a pain medicine which was so widely abused in our society that it has been outlawed in this ... |

| 6. | Fibromyalgia | ||
|
A life-sucking, soul-killing disease. You feel sick enough to cancel dinner with your friends, but not sick enough to miss work. Symptoms are similar to the flu: fatigue, body aches, fevers (they come and go) and major brain fog. The symptoms can flair up without warning, which makes planning ahead impossible. No known cures. Pain medication can help, so can yoga, swimming and meditation.
There are several theories as to fibromyalgia's cause, including pollution, aspertame, sick buildings and more. There are several snake-oil "cures" out there; it pays to be cautious. Last year I was going to the gym five days a week, working all day, attending graduate school at night and taking care of my husband and house. Today I count myself blessed if I can make it through work without a pain pill--all because of fibromyalgia, a disease most people don't believe exists (such as in the prior entry here).

| 7. | t3 | ||

Tylenol #3s they are equal to roughly 4 Tylenol 1s or 2 Tylenol 2s. They are also the most commonly prescribed pain medication in Canada, also one of the most abused due to its ability to get the user hooked very fast and its tendency to cause the user to up their dosage in order to feel the same effects over and over. Tylenol 3s or as they are known on the streets T3s, are great for short term moderate to severe pain. In long term pain cases the drug of choice for most physicians is Oxycontin, Percodan or percocets, or in svere cases morphine. All are codeine based and are stand in substitutes for Morphine or intravenous Heroin users as they mimic the effects of heroin at large doses. I.E. the nods, euphoria, and sleepiness. Start with around 3-4 pills for beginners and ride out your high, you may take gravol with them to lessen the effects of nausea, but avoid stomach coating agents like Gaviscon or Pepto as these will slow or totally impede passage of the drug through the stomach walls and into the blood stream. However to much gravol will bend your trip into a pseudo-hallucinogenic trip . The easiest way is to take one gravol for every 3-4 tylenols. The worst side effects of codeine are stomach discomfort, vomiting, extreme dizziness, and itching. The nausea can be taken care if by gravol, the itching with 1 or 2 benadryls. However never go above 400mg of codeine in one sitting, the reason for this is not only the danger of overdose, but the simple fact that codeine has ceiling effect only 400 mg of codeine will be broken down into morphine in the liver, the rest is wasted either by vomiting, or through urinary wastes. Also the next day or if planning to do pain killers for longer periods of time it is advisable to add more bran to your diets, high fibre cereals amd bran muffins etc... more...
