The Americans did not single handedly win the war. Maybe the naval war, but how about the Russians at Starlingrad destroying the German Eastern Front? How about Montgomery in Africa? Just a little naieve to think that the whole of World War II was won in 2 battles by the Americans. Also, you ignored the War until it became a threat to you and you thought GB might fall. I assume you just learnt about those 2 battles in history today? Maybe you'll do the other bits later in the semester Yank: Hey, didn't we win World War II by ourself?
Yank 2: Yeah, pretty much. Yank: Didn't we win the war againt terror by ourself as well? Yeank 2: Yeah, pretty much. |

| 2. | World Citizen | ||
|
A person who wishes not to be tied to any one nation. These people see humanity as one and do not like the idea of nationalism, patriotism, racism, or any other segregating ideology. A world citizen sees themself first as a member of mankind. Many famous philosophers including Socrates, H.G. Wells, Albert Einstein, and Jules Verne each considered themselves to be a world citizen.

| 3. | World's Greatest | ||
|
In Ultimate Frisbee, the World's Greatest is a move in which a player jumps from within the boundaries of the field to retrieve a disc that has flown out of bounds. In order to pull off a World's Greatest, the player must jump from behind the boundary line, catch the disc in midair, and toss it back into the playing field before he or the disc lands out of bounds, which would result in a turnover. Other definitions of a World's Greatest are more specific. Often to truly be considered a World's Greatest, the disc must be caught by a teammate after returning in-bounds, and some variants state that the disc be caught in the opponent's endzone. To maximize glory while attempting the World's Greatest, a player should lay out while making the catch and subsequent toss. The more bones you break, muscles you pull, and teeth you lose while attempting the World's Greatest will increase your glory by a factor of holy shit. When used in speech, the World's Greatest is often shortened to "the Greatest." "Oh my God! It's The World's Greatest!"
"Holy shit, did you see Dale pull off that Greatest just now? He's totally getting laid tonight!" |

A forum that some people from other forums take entirely too seriously. It's an online community where people share humorous jokes, photos, videos and their scrotums. Scrota? Scroti? Either way, it's not as bad as those whose sole goal in life is to bring it down since they've learned trying to date is futile, would like you to believe. Check out this funny video I saw on eBaums World Forums.

| 6. | World of Warcraft | ||
|
A very popular MMORPG (Massively Multiplayer Online Role Playing Game) created by Blizzard Entertainment. Set in the same fictional universe as the company's 3 previous "WarCraft" games, the game follows a traditional MMORPG structure of level-based advancement, as well as encouraging in-game social interaction to accomplish team goals.

The game worlds are separated by "servers", which are typically in reference to the computer server clusters that make up each game world. These are systems maintained by Blizzard Entertainment and are partially paid for by the player monthly subscription fee. Starting at level 1, the game is designed to quickly provide players with a set of small goals, thus familiarizing themselves with the game world. These goals, or "quests", are typically tasks provided by computer-generated "NPCs" or "Non-Player Characters" and typically involve fighting and defeating other NPC antagonists or collecting and delivering certain items. Through this progression players obtain new abilities and equipment, eventually teaming up with others to fight and defeat increasingly difficult encounters. The World of Warcraft game environment also allows players to engage and combat other players from the opposing "team" under certain rules and controlled circumstances depending on the type of ruleset the game server is running. This is referred to as "PVP" (Player Versus Player). There are currently 4 different types of game rulesets: 1) PVE: Player-Versu... |
