A large outdoor party, or rave, usually consisting of thousands of people, and held in remote locations, such as forest clearings, down deserted roads, high in the hills, and on peoples properties out of town. Good Doof's consist of a huge soundsystem, upwards of 10k (10000 watts), a line-up of great DJs and a crowd of positively minded people who are there for a good time. The music played at Doof's is usually trance, psy trance or goa trance, but sometimes techno, electro and house. The music usually start at 12am (mid night) and continue into the early hours of the morning as the sets get better and only the true doofers are left. Doofs draw a large, multicultural crowd depending on they're location and not just feral hippies from the hills like in the late 80s. Doofs today consist of major party hard kinda crowds that will travel hours for a good party, as finding a location with few or no neighbours in very hard, and a 10k soundsystem can usually be heard for from miles away, esp. when the party is in a high up location. The affordability, celebrity endorsement, limited availibity and designer label have created it a much sought after fashion item. There has been some slight controversy surrounding its "unethical" roots, as it is made in China without using locally grown or organic materials. A person that asks too many questions about the meal they have ordered before it is even prepared. 1. I hate having lunch meetings with bob. He is such an inquiseater. I can't even take my fork away from the food for five seconds, before he starts asking, " Are you gonna finish that?" I hate it! 2. Oh, my god! I had dinner with jenny, and it was a nightmare! She is a raging inquiseater. It took us twenty minutes just to order our food, with her questions about the calorie content, trans fat content, where the veggies were grown, were they organic, blah, blah, blah. I wanted to rip my hair out!

A reaction against the hipster culture; distinguished by their affiliation with awareness groups, use of vintage bicycles, unkept/unruly hair, preference for organic/fair trade/locally grown/vegetarian/vegan food, and dress of a gypsy-like quality. The abhor anything westernized. Their political affiliation tends to swing to either socialism/communism/anarchy (with the exception of Barack Obama.) They spend their time hula hooping (or firedancing), smoking clove cigarettes/hookah, and shopping at the local ethnic market place. Must be obsessed with diversity but friendship circle must consist of all white people... "Hey Jesse, wanna go to the equinox festival? I hear is a "crust punk gypsy" hosting a drum circle and handing out PETA flyers...."
