I looked up the word “Optimism” in the Oxford English Dictionary and the definition simply said “No.”

reckless optimism 

It means to recognize and accept that certain things and circumstances are shit and super hard to get through. And there are a lot of things to feel negative about and you have to allow yourself to process that negativity and then choose optimism over negativity.

optomist 

Someone who thinks that everything will be all-right, even though they cannot spell.
Clueless: "I know I will do great on today's spelling test."
