The mlb rules for on base record does not include getting on base for an error which is a bad rule. More like on base drools. Stupid rule that drolls

Ohtani got on base for the 50th straight game but not as a result of getting on because of an Error. Apparently getting on base due to defense error doesn’t could as getting on base. Let’s just ignore the fact that he got on base. This is a case of a bad rule, more like mlb on base drolls
